bump

Yes.

Not the way you think

the sea levels rises and the more frequent flooding isn't from CO2 but from the increase in removing water from underground sources like aquifers. With less ground to soak back in to, it stays trapped in the cycle of evaporating and condensing in greater number which has shifted where the rainfall happens ie east america is dryer, europe is wetter.

yes the climate changes

no people do not contribute to this in any significant way through pollution/carbon emissions

ghosts are real, have you seen that one show where they prove they're real.

How do you explain the rise of the tropopause?

This is due to the fact we fucked up our environment in other ways.

Volcanic activity puts out more emissions in a single eruption than we do in an entire year, the problem is that we have badly damaged the recycling process. Massive deforestation has crippled both the carbon cycle and water cycle globally now, which is going to cause weather pattern changes, which is going to cause changes in the climate. We have also pumped so much god damn water out from the ground and injected it in to the water cycle (where it would not have been before) that it is now taking its toll on changing the weather.

Carbon dioxide, methane, volcanic ash, water vapor, honestly, aren't that big of a deal -- if the Earth's natural recycling system is functioning properly. Our problem isn't our waste products: it's our consumption. Reduced forests + polluted oceans = less photosynthesis = greenhouse effect due to less carbon and water consumption.

If we honestly want to keep our climate the way it is and not end up with the climate of the dinosaurs (of which I don't see an issue, it will cause massive plant recovery which will then fix the problem), the best thing we can do is not give a single flying shit about taxing carbon or whatever the fuck, but by cleaning our oceans/forests up and getting as much green shit living on this world as possible. If we wanted to go all sci-fi about it, we could also start a large scale dehumidification process to get our water and let our underground reservoirs replenish to their natural levels. At that point, the problem will fix itself.

>Volcanic activity puts out more emissions in a single eruption than we do in an entire year
It actually does not.

yes. climate change is very real. it happens all the time, and we tend to break it down into 4 major parts, called SEASONS. it can even happen daily, going from sunny one day to rainy the next.

if you are referring to ANTHROPOGENIC GLOBAL WARMING, then no, it's NOT real and is a means by which already very rich men might become even MORE rich, by the issuance of "carbon credits" and the restriction and destruction of energy and advancement in already struggling third-world societies.

the more you know!

>unironically saying weather == climate

We know humans are affecting climate change because CO2 levels in the atmosphere has a lot, and ratios of Co2 isotopes imply the bulk of extra Co2 is not from the normal carbon cycle, but from burning hydrocarbons.

>(of which I don't see an issue, it will cause massive plant recovery which will then fix the problem)
Yes, it will be great for plants. Not so much for humans though.

here's an EXCELLENT documentary on the subject, thoroughly refuting the myth of anthropogenic global warming:

...and it was done by an avowed socialist, no less!!!

if you actually believe in AGW, then you owe it to yourself to watch that. after all, if you do not understand your opponent's arguments, then you do not fully understand your own.

ummm... really???

/thread and checked. Have a nice day.

Objectively yes, but it is debatable to what extent humans are contributory factors.

Yes.

How much are the oil companies paying you?

Just went to Canada fishing they say it's real and Americans are stupid

>averaged over a series of years
Yes, that proves my point nicely.

There's certainly noticeable changes in the climate; people have likely made some impact but the extent of it is still wildly contested. What we know for a fact is that government-sanctioned scientific (((organizations))) are shilling it for maximum taxation/control over businesses. After all, Justin says climate change is the #1 threat to civilization in 2015+1, didn't you know?

Hello.

I am the smartest person on Sup Forums so let me answer that for you just so that you receive some knowledge:

Yes its real.

There is however a small chance that CO2 may actually be beneficial for plants and the life cycle. This is a very interesting position that hasn't been researched nearly enough.

HOWEVER a lot of "dirty" technologies are bad, not because of CO2 but because of all the rest of the "dirt" associated with them. So Green tech is actually a good idea too.

Basically the whole argument seems to have split between dirty techers who seems to have an underlining position "eh, even if it is real, I am going to be dead anyway" and "lazy" environmentalist who seem to treat CO2 as the only polluting gas in existence, because it is a "simple" position to have other than remember the names of all the rest of the shitty chemicals.

Both positions are retarded.

Well as long as bill noy the science goy says it is ill believe it.

lol, sure guy, whatever :)

Is Trianon real?

Yes, it changes sometimes.

Yes.

If you import millions of millions of people from a culture that is completely unlike yours, things are bound to heat up and change. It's just common sense.

It is, but the real biggest threat right now is acidification of the oceans.

as much as I want to spout memes right now I have to answer truthfully. Yes.

k

Good post

>bill noy the science goy
Fuck that got me good

...

Fucking hell, not this thread again. It'll be filled with shitty opinions, lack of knowledge and even shittier plots of some dodgy time series some people found on the internet but wouldn't even know how to explain.

Just save yourself some trolling time and go for a Trump thread or so..

Take this: Of course human-made CO2 fluxes dwarf both volcanic outgassing and volcanic eruptions.

You understand that those other spikes were extinction level events right?

Before that last one we were still living with Neanderthals, Densiovans, mammoths, wooly rhinos, American lions, dire wolves, American camels, a type of cougar cheetah, saber toothed cats and more. They were wiped out by a mass extinction event and humans did not have a good time either

What's this meant to show?

Just a few notes on Christie:

In a 2007 ruling in a trial relating to automobile emission regulation in Vermont, U.S. District Court Chief Judge William K. Sessions wrote, "Plaintiffs’ own expert, Dr. Christy, agrees with the IPCC’s [2001] assessment that in the light of new evidence and taking into account remaining uncertainties, most of the observed warming over the last fifty years is likely to have been due to the increase in GHG concentrations." [12] What Christy said in his testimony was, "You know, it's a statement that has lots of qualifications in it, so it's hard to disagree with." and "You saw me pause a long time because — this was six years ago. And the question was about what I thought six years ago." When then asked if he presently agreed with that IPCC assessment Christy responded, "As I answered here, because of the qualifications in that statement, I don't have significant concerns."

So one of the "main scientists" in this movie testified this.

No surprises there

When it comes down to it yes.

When do you think the "present" is for ice core samples?
Hint: it's not in the 21st century.

>organism that only can occupy a certain tiny ecological niche die when said niche vanishes

its fucking nothing.

Makes sense.

I guess LOL

Climate change is not real. That is why we are experiencing extreme el nino and typhoon haiyan. This includes warmest temperature in the since 1800s.

>asking questions == being ignorant
bongs. Everytime.

No. It is global Marxism in disguise.

Climate change is pseudoscience.

The earth goes through phases of heating and cooling all the time. Attributing that to man when we've had worse periods of warming before our common "pollutants" were invented is really fucking dumb.

Secondly, all climate science is performed on a bias. The institutions that fund climate change research only want one answer. They dont care if you disprove it.

Also climate change agenda is incredibly transparent. The two biggest proponents of the myth are the US and Israel. Its no surprise that they'd want to push people away from oil and destabilize the middle east even further.
