Meh, nothing interesting

Isn't this that overrated piece of shit where they tell you mid season that Leland Palmer did it and expect you to keep watching?

All the teasers so far are yawn-inducing, relying too much on nostalgia shit instead of giving us new material. Have a feeling this will flop due to shitty marketing and being hard for new viewers to get into, let alone taking the lynchpill

can't be bothered to finish season 2

Just skip to the last 2 episodes my friend, there's nothing to be gained suffering through the nadine, andy, james & josie shit

2 episodes are going to get release in May 21, why would you want a trailer?

>implying Lynch gives a shit about this being a commercial success
He's going to traumatize new viewers with his hard kino. Appealing to plebes was never on the agenda. Each and every last one of them is going to be destroyed.

No, you're thinking of a different show.

He seemed to give quit a lot of shit when he couldn't get a season 3 and couldn't make more Twin Peaks movies.

Literally nothing.

IN THE DIRTY MESA

Lynch couldn't give two fucks, he's all about the art, he's not trying to get a new season, he just wants to make 10/10 television

Judging by his past record that isn't true.

>he's all about the art
>revives his only big hit 30 years later instead of making a kino

>18 eps
yo we got two full seasons of prestige television in one. thanks Lynch!

To get an idea what it's going to be like? The fact that there's no trailer comes off as a pompous "every second of footage is too sacred to spoil" attitude

nostalgic bold prediction
the original flopped as well
only newfags will get mad at this poster
we semisecretly welcome it flopping

>the original flopped as well
>it wasn't the most popular TV show of it's time until it went to shit

i bet you actually do believe that

The TV show was just the pleb appeal prelude to the true kino of Fire Walk With Me which was a huge flop.

it wasn't. shut up kid.

It's going to be Twin Peaks: The Force Awakens

DUDE REMEMBER COFFEE AND CHERRY PIE LMAO?

>trying so hard now

t. underage redditor

how fucking stupid can you be? Do you really think Lynch of all fucking people on this earth would sink to this level?

Pre-Twin Peaks Lynch>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Post-Twin Peaks Lynch

Woah man red curtains

Nah, i'm pretty sure David goes full Lynch mode on this one

Why didn't he make a new original series instead? Does he lack confidence in his work?

He tried a 3 times and failed

ADHD kids will never know that 23 episodes used to be the norm before the writers guild lockout.

And a mid season finale is a marketing scheme

>yawn-inducing

it's fucking twin peaks dude. if that intro music doesn't make you want to curl up and take a nap, there's something wrong with you.

>this will flop

pretty sure you're underage. twin peaks was wildly popular and successful when it aired and only became moreso with age. in the internet speculation era, the new season will be everywhere.

I predict that it will seem like that for the first couple of episodes. Lynch laying out a "based" "comfy" platter of nostalgia, video games, capeshit and pornography to lure in all of the neo-twin peaks viewers who watched the show on netflix after the reddit memes told them to. Those who loved le based comfy cooper and thought the show was le based comfy fun times but that FWWM was "le shitty WTF".

They'll be sitting around the table indulging in their vile nostalgia. Wallowing in their infantilizing masturbation but then the based comfy Badalamenti score will stop and Lynch will pull out his gun and put a bullet in the head of every last one of them.

>it's fucking twin peaks dude. if that intro music doesn't make you want to curl up and take a nap, there's something wrong with you.
Hello Sup Forumseddit sensibility twin peaks viewer.

Was it viral marketing?

I think it's more about keeping the plot secret.

Yeah

DUDE MEMBER MAIN THEME OH ANGELO

>accuses me of being underage
>thinks twin peaks was a massive success
>cancelled midway season 2

JUST

>skip to the last 2 episodes
Why would anyone skip the last two episodes? They are very important for FWWM and probably for season 3. I will never understand people born after 1990 and their weird habbit of skipping things when watching a movie/TV-show/reading a book.

Couldn't hurt to show some stuff from episode 1 at least, build some intrigue

>Lynch
>Plot

lmao the man himself would tell you that plot is a meme kid.

Wait, so has Cooper been raping and killing women for the past 25 years?

Twin Peaks was a huge success though. Pretty sure you are underaged.

Spoiler: Bob did it

You might want to read that post again very carefully

>skip TO the last 2 episodes
>Why would anyone skip the last two episodes?
Yeah, it's a underage user's fault that you can't read

>Why would anyone skip the last two episodes?
Learn to read
>I will never understand people born after 1990 and their weird habbit of skipping things when watching a movie/TV-show/reading a book
More quality content readily available than ever before. Harder to justify wasting your time watching subpar television episodes.

Fuuuck. Can't unsee now. Thanks a lot, DICK.

>Who is Mark Frost?
>What is The Secret History of Twin Peaks?
Idiot

he means skip everything after the reveal except the last 2 episodes

But yeah I don't understand either, it's not like our time is that valuable

It was the big thing over the summer of 1990 then everyone dropped it, viewership plummeted in season 2

No, Cooper waiting in red room

Dude, I love Twin Peaks but it was canceled because the ratings were so low and new viewers were lost.

There are two Dales

It was a hit BEFORE ratings dropped. What so hard to understand?

I just rewatched it, it's really good. Some of the stuff is a little tooo obtuse though. Like the scene about the "formica table" and the close-up of a mouth saying "electricity," and that whole David Bowie scene.

Also it has the two best waifus who were barely even in show.

It's going to be awkward watching a load of 70 year olds shuffling around trying to solve a mystery

reddit tier cuck

Yeah, I read that wrong, my bad. Still kinda weird to skip episodes though. It's a recurring theme in Twin Peaks threads. As someone who's watched the entire show and the movie twice, I still can't see why you'd skip anything. Yes, second half of season 2 is pretty bad but there's still small things in there that are important for the entire show/next season.

>>Who is Mark Frost?
A hack.
>What is The Secret History of Twin Peaks?
A cash grab

Plot was always the least important part of twin peaks. As soon as they were forced to be a plot show with villains and the like it went to shit.

I know, but pure Coop is a true Coop

I hope they give up an update on that one-eyed bitch and her super pussy.

The ratings dropped after the tv execs made Lynch reveal who the killer is.

Wow, you are an idiot.

It's reddit tier to like Twin Peaks: the show. The only non-reddit response is to consider the show reddit but recognize that the movie is kino.

You claimed
>twin peaks was wildly popular and successful when it aired and only became moreso with age
>moreso with age
>cancelled because literally no one was watching

Prove it.

Face it, a lot of season 2 is literally 1/10 filler, emphasis on filler.

> what is cult status
Are you autistic? Moreso means after cancellation

Are they splitting the episodes in two, or are we getting ALL of them this year?

All episodes during summer

>It's a josie hong kong episode
>it's a renault brothers episode
>it's a james episode
>it's an andy's sperm episode
>it's a nadine episode
>it's a donna episode
>it's a business woman audrey episode
>it's a windom earle episode

Why was season 2 such trash?

Watch The Missing Pieces too if you haven't. I think there is a connection to the "electricity" thing and something with the black lodge. There's a reason why the lamp was flickering when they did the obduction on Laura Palmer.

David Lynch wasn't involved.

Even surreal things can have a plot though.

25 years too late. Oldfag here btw.

Is that a rhetorical question? Just in case it isn't, Lynch left to make Wild at Heart or some shit, show got good again once he came back but it was too late

this, it's a cash-in

No, it isn't. Twin Peaks is surreal. Fedora wearing redditors do not like surreal stuff. They can only comprehend good vs evil, black and white clarity stuff. Like capeshit and other geek culture oriented media.

> Lynch
> profitable

Neither was Mark Frost. Most of the bad stuff in season 2 is by idiot up and coming TV-writers.

Nice posters, but we were promised teasers in the vain of American Horror Story, some creative shit that showed new stuff without spoiling it.

I mean, why even half-ass the teasers that barely do their main function of teasing? If they really wanna hide the new plot and have an element of surprise, there's no need to even do shitty teasers.

Still excited as all hell.

I don't disagree with you. Still saying there's important details in it that might be good to know when wathing FWWM and the upcoming season.

Here we have a reddit sensibility poster in denial. Twin Peaks is entry level surreal. They lap that shit up. Writhing in their fedoramax products like Jacob's Ladder, Silent Hill, Enemy. But give them a pure dose like FWWM or Inland Empire and it sends them running.

>dude we need to have a "David Lynch" scene
>uuumm ok 50's girl swinging a torch in the dark
>GENIUS

How dense are you?
Everyone involved have said in interviews the show was not a success.

He's selling nostalgia

So what's with the grimdark kids in this thread? Acting like Lynch will make the new series completely dark when the only reason FWWM is so dark is because he was forced to cut out an hour and a half of lighthearted funny scenes, because the studio said it was too long.

Not to mention Laura Dern said she thought the new series was hilarious.

who cares. he's gona die. let him have one last project that is also unfinished business. who else will Lynch when there's no more Lynch? inb4 Refn

I don't Lynch will be referencing filler episodes written and directed by nobodies, Dick Tremayne isn't going to be an integral character, S1,FWWM and Lynch directed s2 eps are all we'll need. Apparently even that Mark Frost book is unnecessary

>forced to cut out an hour and a half of lighthearted funny scenes
He wasn't forced to do shit. He cut those scenes himself because he knew it was the best choice for the film.

>unironically hating on one of the best Twin Peaks scenes
youtube.com/watch?v=KWy2DDYDXU4

Leland hadn't even been caught by that stage.

Source?

Nah
>Lynch has said that "I had a limit on the running time of the picture. We shot many scenes that—for a regular feature—were too tangential to keep the main story progressing properly. We thought it might be good sometime to do a longer version with these other things in, because a lot of the characters that are missing in the finished movie had been filmed. They're part of the picture, they're just not necessary for the main story."

>I have never seen a Lynch Film

But I like FWWM more than the show so you're argument doesn't hold. I also don't think you can compare the Lynch directed episodes with reddit shit like Jacob's Ladder. And Silent Hill? What the fuck man? I don't think even redditors like that.

It was always a black comedy to some degree.

You just proved yourself wrong

>he was forced to cut out an hour and a half of lighthearted funny scenes
I watched the deleted scenes, most of them are non-sequiturs with characters from the show that weren't otherwise in the movie. They were pretty out-of-place.

The movie had some funny moments, though.
>the school bus driver getting arrested
>Desmond making Stanley spill his coffee
>"Cable bends steel."
>"Want to hear about our specials? We don't have any."
>Leo scrubbing the floor
