Why are older people more conservative?

Why are older people more conservative?

One things ive noticed is that a good chunk comes from people feeling betrayed after a lifelong commitment to democratic cucking. You grow older, have your house and want to be left alone without having to pay for other peoples shit via taxes.

why would you do that to your shoes

Because they have experience in the world and know that liberal views do not work.

Apathy and greed. No hope in sight. Lifetimes of zionism

>Socially conservative because:
Because they worked hard to contribute to society and they are witnessing the decline of what they built and want to preserve it.

>Economically conservative because:
When you're young, you want a provider. When you're old you are a provider.

You basically grow up and stop wanting the government to be your parents.

because they want preserve the younger generation. who else would give them money for retirement?

they feel their culture is being attacked by newer one so they try to preserve it

A. Trial and error. Socialism doesn't last
B. Being employed full time grinds your idealism into dust
C. You simply don't give a shit about being trendy and acceptable anymore

Because they have wisdom.

after a long time of propaganda by the leftist school system etc etc, the illusions start to fade and reality becomes clearer

Longer lifetime=more experiences=wiser=smarter political views

As you age you shrug off social conditioning more. Your behavior in old age is more about nature, while your behavior in young age is more about social conditioning.

yup this is true in almost any psych test even IQ.

I've always been conservative, not always a hardline conservative who thought violent video games or heavy metal music were repulsive.

But I always believed abortions were murder, massive centralized governments are too easily corrupted and you have a right to your properties/wages and a right to defend such.

And I think christian religious values are great for society as a whole and have pretty much structured western civilization..

That being all said, going through 90s/early 2000s I could've never conceived this opinion to be regarded as "radical" like it is now.

It's ironic because everyone saw them as crack pots but it really seems like the extremely far right pundits from the 70s and 80s were right in asserting that allowing even the slightest bit of sliding was too much, the moral structure of U.S. society has decayed alot and it's now a competition of who can justify the most outlandish of beliefs and if anyone begs to differ they're racist/misogynist/homophobic.

Because they are more likely to be the ones with investments which they wish to conserve.

If you aren't revolutionist when young, you have no soul. If you aren't conservative when old, you have no brains.

When you're young most people are more open to new experiences, new people and ideologies so this naturally leads toward liberalism.

Once people get families and start to gain perspective, they see that society is built on foundations like the family, capitalism, etc and they no longer challenge those institutions, instead they embrace them fully.

Combination of three factors.

1: A lot of people were liberal when they were younger, but they had an end-of-history perspective. They thought "okay, we'll get women the vote and then everyone will be happy," but then fags start acting up and women suddenly want to be men. So they become Conservative.
A lot of Conservatives now were liberals from the 70s who got buyer's remorse once they saw the world they helped to create.

2: Young people tend to be idealistic. Older people who have experienced more of the cycle of life tend to realize that things are not nearly as unfair as they seem when you are young and haven't really held a job or built a family yet.

3: Liberalism correlates very strongly with a lack of self-esteem, low self image, and depression. Conservatism tends to correlate with a stronger self image, a sense of worth, and confidence. This is why most comedians are liberals--humor is a coping mechanism for misery. However, these are all things that build over time as you leave the awkwardness of youth. Older people tend to care less about how others see them and be more content with themselves, even if they're sacks of shit, because they know it doesn't matter. Thus, they tend to be more Conservative. Older men are also much more likely to have learned that women aren't magic and are in fact dumb bitches who don't matter, and thus will be less likely to agree with them mindlessly in pursuit of pussy.

Humans get smarter in their 30s.

because they are senile and crabby.

Life experience. When you get older you'll find out

this is what progressives actually believe its liket hey cannot justify anything without dehumanizing either their opponent and their intentions.
pro tip: 99% of people want whats best for humanity

Because they know better.
