What is the best trilogy?

What is the best trilogy?

Trilogies are for faggots who don't appreciate brevity

LotR

Agreed, unless they tell a singular story and are made simultaneously like lotr

Therefore lotr is the best trilogy, because it's actually just a really long movie

How many fucking times do I have to post this? Antonioni's malaise trilogy is the greatest film trilogy.

Three Colours

Yeah but those are shit

t. gramps

...

Before Sunset trilogy

>beyond thunder dome better than mad max
>bttf 2 equal to 3 and not close to 1

shit chart

lotr, as it is basically one story broken up into three parts because of it's length, not a story followed by sequels that were only added after the success of the first one, unlike the vast majority of other trilogies.

When it comes to the latter kind of trilogies, I like back to the future the most. Most likely that's nostalgia speaking, as the sequels don't make much sense and lots of the jokes and entire sequences are re-used - but I just can't look at the movies objectively, they felt way too comfy when I was a kid.

Lol nice pretentious literal who trilogy you picked there, nu-male.

Superman 3 was the best one. They actually did something with the character.

>no Dollars trilogy
>no Once Upon A Time trilogy
>no Human Condition trilogy

Star Wars > Empire

Crusade >> Temple

Khan >> Search for Spock

Jurassic Park >> 3 >> LW

Spider-Man 2 > all other superhero movies

LOTR = masterpiece

This chart is fucking DISGUSTING. Who would put star wars that high?

What's the recommended cut for Lord of the Rings?

These threads always devolve into a lotr/ star wars pissing contest
Lotr is better
>Spider-man 1 rated that low
LOL

The books

If you want to die a horrible and slow death then watch the extended cut of each of the films.
12 hours of unfiltered horror. Would've been even worse if they were to include the Tom Bombadil arc.

This.

>tom
>bad

i am surrounded by plebs

it's laughably bad

Samurai Trilogy
Plebs
3>2>1

Weebs really need to die and soon

Not necessarily bad but definitely boring.

>if you like anything asian, you're a weeb
I hate animu shit and manga is for fucking losers but those nips make some good films

You missed the point of based bombadil

Probably. I was 14 when I read it so perhaps my mind needed more shallow action than Tom Bombadil's arc delivered. It even made me quit the book.

What kind of moron thinks Temple of Doom is equal to Last Crusade?

...

>First movie is all right
>Second movie is pretty good
>Third movie is awful
Superman, X-Men and Spider-Man all follow this pattern. Does it apply to all superhero trilogies?

>Mad Max 3 higher than Mad Max 1

bait

>Lord of the Rings isn't full in every one

you HAVE to go back to Plebbit.

> x thing is for faggots except when I like them

sick fucking bait dude i am so frustrated and anguished at your comment im literally pacing in my room

...

With X-men doing it twice.

Are you implying Days of Future Past was better than First Class?

No, Captain America 1 was horrible, Winter Soldier was pretty fun and Civil was was shit again, but not as shit as the first.

What about Nolan's Batman films? Do they fit the pattern?

What a garbage fucking list.

Six of those aren't trilogies

>Star Trek Trilogy
>2nd is best
>But it's a Trilogy
So help me decipher this.
General consensus I think, is that The Wrath of Khan is the best Star Trek movie even though The Motion Picture should hold that spot, fuck you, and Into Darkness is terrible. I get that some people like Into Darkness, but some people still post Man Of Steel threads on Sup Forums, so there's that.

So tell me. What Star Trek Trilogy are they talking about in this image?
Is it Motion Picture/Wrath of Khan/Search for Spock? Which it can't be, because The Search for Spock directly leads into The Voyage Home, so it can hardly be the end of anything.
Is it the new movies? Which it can't be because Into Darkness was shit on every level except the pretty colours.

Or are they trying to imply that the numbers represent:
Original Cast movies/Next Generation Cast movies/Reboot movies?

Someone help me make sense of this.

Just rewatched Temple of Doom the other day. What a fucking SNORE fest, jesus christ. The only reedeming quality was the last 20 minutes. How fucking boring and flat can one film be? And the ditzy retard faggot girl who came along why?????!?!?!?! The asian fag is like "Haha she's your bich now lol" and she's like "okay ill come along with you for literally no reason but to endanger myself."

FUCK this GAY shit

>Spiderman 3 that low

Literally herd mentality: the opinion.

Also, why is Back to the Future 3 anywhere close to the second one?

...

Nope, had to fix this

crossed out the ones I hadn't seen

>le empire strikes back is the best meme
kill yourself redditor

>begins = pretty good
>dark knight = great
>tdkr = GOAT

No, it doesn't

>pretty good
>great
>dogshit

It fits the mold.

Watch it hothead

>kino
>alright
>kino again

also

>implying this kino will remain a trilogy

It's not my fault that the Nolanverse imploded on itself when TDKR failed to live up to the high expectations from TDK and Bane became a shitty meme.

Star Wars is the only correct answer
I didn't even know Jaws had sequels

Ginger Snaps

>implying i don't want this

I can't wait for the one where Xander and Darius team up for the 4th film or one where Xander trust fight a clone of himself. Imagine the possiblities
>the revenge of Xander cage
>Xander cage strikes back
>XXX forever
>XXXtreme

Even the objectively best adaptation of LotR didn't include Tom.

It cant be "best adaptation" then. Bakshi was also a hackfraud

>What is the best trilogy?
John Carpenter's Apocalypse trilogy.

Fite me feggets.

It's the best one unless you care to propose a replacement.

It was also highly influential on the casting of the film.

The first one was great, the rest were pure shit.

Seen all of these trilogies and it's objectively this by a mile. I struggle to think of anything it messed up. It nailed everything it set out to do with exceptional quality, attention to detail, and heart. It was like hitting the 3 sevens jackpot on a slot machine. Everything went right.

They leaned too heavily on CGI in the 2nd and 3rd movies. If they could have kept the CGI to a minimum, like with the 1st movie, it would have been better by miles.

jurassic park isn't even that bad of an action movie. just gets shit for being not jurassic park

>Matrix
>Spiderman
>LOTR
>Back To The Future
The only trilogies on the list you spastic

Those two are so far apart, it triggers me when people compare them. Star Wars is at best a mediocre space fantasy, lotr is so much more

>MM 1 higher than 3
MEDIOCRE

It would be for Abrams Trek
And
>motionless picture
>good
lol

>any Star Wars shit above the halfway point
kek

TDKR revolutionized modern memeing and continues to be the pinnacle of shitposting. There is no contest as to what Nolans greatest movie is

What was the greatest scene in Sup Forums culture before TDKR came along?

they were equal and divided.
baneposting united the people
