Yes, please do apologize right not Sup Forums All he needed to succeed in one of the already best clubs in england was just 2 seasons and nearly 400 MILLION POUNDS in transfers.
Truly a genius. Wow. I apologize first.
2016-17 - Manchester City Ilkay Gundogan (Borussia Dortmund, £21m) Nolito (Celta Vigo, £14m) Oleksandr Zinchenko (Ufa, £2m) Leroy Sane (Schalke, £42m) Marlos Moreno (Atletico Nacional, £4.5m) Gerónimo Rulli (Deportivo Maldonado, £4m) John Stones (Everton, £47m) Pablo Marí (Gimnastic, £200,000) Claudio Bravo (Barcelona, £17m) Gabriel Jesus (Palmeiras, £27m) ANNUAL TOTAL: £178.7m
2017-18 - Manchester City Ederson (Benfica, £35m) Bernardo Silva (Monaco, £43m) Kyle Walker (Tottenham, £54m) Douglas Luiz (Vasco da Gama, £10.7m) Danilo (Real Madrid, £27m) Benjamin Mendy (Monaco, £52m) ANNUAL TOTAL (so far): £221.7m
it could be worse, he could have spent the same and not be on top, like mouyes
Lincoln Carter
It's not like he brought Neymar and Mbappe. He spent a lot of money but those guys are all practically nobodies. I mean John Stones and Jesus? Who gives a shit
Anthony Cooper
>deportivo maldonado Nothing shady there
Leo Martinez
Jesus has a big following m8, hardly a nobody
Jason Phillips
kek literally new XI
Jaxson Gutierrez
He was building a new team, which was needed.
And it's not like he spent a lot at Barca where he had the type of players he wanted. Look at the 2011 team: Valdes, Alves, Pique, Puyol/Masch, Abidal, Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta, Pedro, Messi, Villa. If he stays at Man City for 7 or 8 years, he will probably have a lot of academy products in the first team.
Also, it's not like it's all about the players. You can't just throw players on the field and expect them to play well. You first have to give them a structure and a philosophy. Other managers would not be able to get the players that he has playing like this, not even close. Not to mention that managers win games through tactics. Look at the Chelsea game: that was a tactical win. That was down to the manager in large part.
Kevin Hernandez
Still wasn't an elite name by any means.
>muh gorillions
I agree, most of these players are overpaid (since its City so you milk them out of that sweet arab money), but come the fuck on. I wouldn't say any of these signings are among top 5 in their position.
He bought Pebbles, Sane, Bernardo, Jesus, not Boateng, Hazard, Modrić and Luis Suarez.
Andrew Reyes
Yes, he did spend tons of money but as I've said before the current Man City best players were bought before he even came to the club. (KDB, Silva, Otamendia, Aguero, Sterling)
Out of the players he bought the only ones who've had a large impact on Citys success this season are Sane, Jesus, Ederson, Walker and more recently Stones.
Robert Turner
Cirty's squad needed a big overhaul, especially in the fullback areas and in goal. And especially when you look at the second season, almost every single transfer has been pretty good. In a league where Everton spend 150 million on shit, City should be applauded for their excellent transfer strategy.

Owen Reed
Who did Chelsea buy when Abramovich came in? Cole, Robben, Duff, Essien, Drogba, Cech, Carvalho. Hardly the best rated players in the world at the time, except (perhaps) Carvalho.
>In a league where Everton spend 150 million on shit, City should be applauded for their excellent transfer strategy. They should be applauded for buying well, however, it is hard for Everton to attract top quality, plus some of their players look like they can be pretty good e.g. Keane, Pickford, Sigurdsson.
Getting all these new players to players so well together like they've been playing together for 5 years IS impressive, though. None of the players he brought were considered world class at the time, but he still managed to make the best team in Europe (currently) out of a bunch of literallywhos. Not to mention his tactical superiority, go watch Man City vs Napoli/Chelsea/Liverpool/Arsenal again
Ethan Sanchez
Something that's being glossed over is how young most of the big signings are: Sane still 21, Jesus only 20, Mendy and Stones 23, Ederson 24 (young for a keeper). On top of the City tax, they would have been paying a premium for youth + potential. So not only is the team amazing right now, its core is setup to for the long term even after Pep leaves
Nathaniel Lee
Agreed, although Chelsea also have a fairly young team too -
Makes them a strong proposition considering thats pretty much the spine of their squad there (excl Azpi who is recently 28).
Notably, its Luiz, Cahill and Fabregas, the only players over 30 who seem to be underperforming.
Jonathan Anderson

Hahahahahahaha, state of your post.
Silva, Mendy, Danilo, Luiz have barely featured and any other club would have been torn to shreds for those massive outlays and spending 54 million squids on Kyle fucking Walker still cracks me up everytime I think about it.
He is basically the equivalent of playing cards with someone that gets to draw 4 or 5 times for every one that you get and is somehow immune to criticism from the media for it.
As much as he reserves some respect for playing good attacking football (not that boring and disrectful tiki-taka shit anymore), there is an embarassing amount of money being wasted that only Mou can be compared with and he actually took over a shit squad, unlike Beppo.
Carson Martinez
The state of your post >Mendy Starter until he was injured >Luiz Loaned out to Girona. >Danilo Featured plenty of times.
Have you even watched a single game by City?
Jeremiah Wood
it was a joke, my muslim friend.
Samuel Barnes
aha, so 5 appearances (2 from subs) is now plenty for a 36million euro player? I guess it is if you are poop coaching manshitty. Don't even wanna go into details about silva or all the other examples of excessive spending with minimal return, bottom line is anyone claiming that Qatar F.C. should be appplauded for their excellent transfer strategy is obviously not aware that they are a disgusting money laundering operation for an hugely oppresive royal that specialises in modern slavery and poisoning of the fucking air we breath, that basically gets 4 or 5 attempts for everyone that their competitors (except manure) get.

why aren't more people talking about the football city are playing? who cares who spent what? look at these games. they're blowing teams away. you should guys be grateful theres so much good football to watch. it may not even last that long but they've been the best team to watch in europe.
Jaxon Hughes
Pep is the best coach in Europe and his Football philosophy is the best.
His Barcelona team is literally the greatest thing I've ever seen on a Football pitch

seems normal for english standards. remember when leicester won the league they spent more than bayern. so he's just playing by their rules.
Leo Stewart
bayern being gifted top players from the rest of their league is quite different
Colton Morris
dortmund lost more players to the epl than to bayern
