IP addresses are approximate and that gives an estimate about 50-100 miles away

That city looks nice, but the nature around it consists of fields and little forests. Totally monotonous.

Mexico is very mountainous, at least in the south

I'm in the bajío. Here's the thing the whole area between the sierras, except for Baja that's everything north of Mexico City that isn't coastal, it's in an elevated plateau, the altiplano central

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexican_Plateau

Elevation is around 2,000 mts up until San Luis Potosi, and after some small bit of mountainous terrain goes down to 1,100 mts average all the way to the rio Grande.

So yeah, the large majority of Mexicans not living near the ocean are at elevation, the south is basically one big sierra, with Yucatán being basically the only flat terrain, except it's like Swiss cheese because of Karst geology.

ay

I thought it was a bit lower

I once read that close to 3/4s of our country is above 1000m. Can't remember where, tho, so don't pay much attention to that. But the entire country is indeed surrounded by manlet mountain ranges, not nearly as impressive as the Andes, but fucking everywhere.

Speaking of altitude
When I go to the beach (2km lower than normally) I need like twice as much alcohol to get drunk, I've heard it's because the pressure/altitude but that sounds like broscience to me
Is there any truth to it?
