Flesh+Blood. Though it's heavily misogynistic and features problematic rape scenes, it's one of Verhoeven's best. The "sorcery" element is manifest in Christian prayers and pagan witchcraft, though it's left to the viewer whether the "spellcasting" had an effect. This movie is also steampunk, though steampunk fetishists will argue otherwise. It's a solid 7/10, better than Conan and with about 20% less triggers despite the problematic elements.

Dragonslayer. In its day, it was pretty much unparalleled in both effects as well as just being an all-around solid fantasy film.
Keep an eye out for Game of Thrones elements, because it pretty clearly inspired a lot of it.
