He's largely correct for the most part western police will ignore all complaints against religions. I walked into a government legal assistance center and told them I had been used as un-paid child labor for over a decade and was being harassed by a cult among various other highly illegal things.
All I got in response was 5 minutes of nervous stammering about how they can't do anything about religious rules and they were unwilling to take statements or act on my complaint. They said I could try suing them but they wouldn't help, and it was unclear how I could possibly sue them when they are allowed to break laws to silence people.
