I wish Tarkovsky films connected with me.I feel like i am majorly missing out something

You've violated one of the unwritten rules of 3x3: one film per filmmaker. Good choices though.

I was unaware shall I edit the image to fix my misdoing?

Why the fuck do you have Stagefright in your favorites?

>4 Hollywood flicks

pleb much?

why the fuck wouldn't i? It's great

Which titles of his have you seen?

It's okay. There are better giallos out there, imo.

Love Tarks but i feel like i was too dumb for Zerkalo.

Love Chinatown. Is the 4th image from a Godard movie? The guy seems familiar.

>Robocop
mah nigga.

The mirror
Ivan's childhood
Stalker
Andrei Rublev

Post your list faggot.

>Love Tarks but i feel like i was too dumb for Zerkalo.
I feel as though Mirror is a film that gets better upon rewatches.

He won't, fags like him are too scared.

4u

bad!

what's that old house in the mist?

imdb.com/title/tt0067341/

...

looks creepy thanks big guy

Love that girl from Oslo

I might add The Cranes Are Flying

You should watch Mirror with the knowledge that it's essentially a representation of memories and dreams on film. You will enjoy it much more this way.

You guys should rate/recommend based on each others charts in these threads, like they do on Sup Forums. It would significantly improve these threads.

bad

fite me

best post itt

You like big dumb hallow films because you're a big dumb hallow idiot. Seriously, your taste sucks

I thought everyone hated The Lovely Bones.

Having no taste is the new having taste

Liking a bunch of films with personality doesn't make up for your lack of one, kys your taste is bland and boring af

how do you know that I don't have a personality
there are films that I enjoy

...

These threads are a final bastion of discussion on this board, if you have a problem with their taste, give some recommendations, otherwise fuck off. Getting into and watching films is a process and somewhere is somewhere in it, spark their curiosity, don't quell their love.

*Everyone is somewhere in it

Judge me

I never got the love for Raging Bull. The movie is just basically fight scenes (god tier edited) and robert de niro asking people if they fucked his wife.

I am pretty sure there isn't a single scene not directly related to the boxing where de niro doesn't accuse someone of fucking his wife. It gets boring after a while.

All excellent movies but you're taste is pretty boring if they're your favourites.

Solid list, but i get the feel most people who say Citizen Kane is among their favorites are just posing (or haven't seen too many films).

6/10, you seem like you've googled what are good directors and picked their best films based on general consensus

No, i really love that one, i still get teary-eyed during the scene where he trashes the room and starts saying "rosebud"

It's fairly entry-level, i'll agree, but i've seen a lot of movies from a lot of different filmmakers and those are the ones that still stand out to me the most

>Have no taste
>Fucking posts a Zack Snyder film
Has to be bait

What's the problem? Snyder has made several great movies.

Citizen Kane may be the best "pleb filter" I've seen. It really is fantastic.

The only Welles I have left is Chimes at Midnight which I'm excited for. I'm also finishing up Lynch and Kaufman, as you can see by my bottom row of recent watches. Reygadas only has a few films so I suppose I can work through those next and I'm really eager to get to Tarkovsky. No idea where to go after that though, stay American maybe with Altman and Cassavettes, or finally start branching off into more foreign stuff, maybe start easy like Fellini or Kurosawa. Any suggestions?

...

that was his point I think
I was claiming I had no taste by posting some comfy films that I enjoy, but watchmen is pretty daycent

Have you tried watching more of Coens/Kubrick/Scorsese/Refn?
or is it just that your faves just coincidentally align with their generally considered 'best' films?

good ones

I'm interested in checking out Korine's work, but what in my list made you suggest that?

>Eh.
The fuck's that meant to mean?

>That's a nice cunny.

You should watch A Little Princess by Alfonso Cuaron.

It was beautiful and hypnotic. I didn't think it was perfect, some of the little stories definitely didn't connect, but it overall had emotion and a sense of energy moving underneath the fairly static camera. Also I thought the sound design was very very nice

What is the giant eyeball from? I'm curious

>t. pleb

>tie xi qu in "favorites"
>calls others pretentious

Downloading it straight into the spank bank.

god-tier score famo

Ok
Honestly I liked it just seems rather odd that it came from Reygadas, I kinda felt some empty "spiritualism" being shown, don't mind that, I think it was also a personal exercise on his beliefs, which is cool I guess. Japon felt more magical in a way.

Also I forgot those are not your actual favorites but your rotating taste.

Nope, but putting it in your 3x3 all time best movies I have ever seen sure as fuck is.

Why?

Didn't you just fucking say your 3x3 wasn't only the best films you've seen?

lmao
