After Friday's showing of rather low-standard darts, the Players Championship Finals from Butlins Minehead will surely get going today and tonight with the last 32 and last 16 being completed by the close of play this evening.
On the main stage for round 2, Champions League of Darts winner Mensur Suljovic faces 2014 Lakeside champion Stephen Bunting in an all good guy battle, #1 seed Rob Cross plays impressive Irish #1 Steve Lennon, Michael van Gerwen continues his title defence against scumbag Steve West, and the two big upsetters in Northern Ireland's Mickey Mansell and Muffin Man Steve Hine get quickfire Dutchman Jermaine Wattimena and Yorkshire county clogger Peter Jacques respectively as their rewards for dumping out Peter Wright and Gary Anderson.
Stage Two has some matches of interest including Northumberland's Chris Dobey against yesterday's 9 dart failure Robert Thornton, potentially resurfacing HMS Adrian Lewis is up against ginger shortarse Richard North, and the three big upsetters on this board from yesterday - they being one-eyed TV jobber Jamie Caven, a noticeably slimmer Ron Meulenkamp and compatriot (and Mr. Bean impersonator) Jan Dekker - get methodical men James Wade, Justin Pipe and Australia's Simon Whitlock as their prizes for defeating Joe Cullen, Kyle Anderson and Michael Smith.
Coverage starts at 12:45pm GMT on ITV4 with the evening session from 7:00pm on the same channel. Stage Two will be streamed on the PDC's Facebook page.
All round 2 games are the best of 11 legs (first to 6). All round 3 games are the best of 19 legs (first to 10).

Forgot to post this yesterday: it's the van Gerwen family after the Grand Slam final.
If you look closely, you can see a touch of MVG in their baby.

>mfw /180/
From reading OP's concluding post yesterday I'm pretty sure I didn't miss anything of real importance.
>Mensur Suljovic v Stephen Bunting ffs
Julian Martinez
Namely this.
Mansell and Hine upsets aside it wasn't that interesting a day.
Think it needs to go back to 32 players. 64 is far too many.
Angel Garcia
>losing to Hine Absolute state of Wright. Anderson can be forgiven (wife in the hospital?).
Ryder Brooks
>(wife in the hospital?). His newborn daughter to be precise but he wasn't right at all.
Gabriel Morgan
Hope it's nothing serious then
>Darren Webster v Mervyn King >Jelle Klaasen v Steve Beaton >Ian White v John Henderson All not shown, feels bad.
James Watson
Man, I don't know. I can honestly see more of MvG in this baby rather than in his own.
Matthew Cruz
And we're on now.
Ayden Rivera
Will this tournament be the return of Lewis?
Josiah Miller
>jizzy This is bad even for him.

state of this tournament lads.
Hope a jobber goes all the way and wins it.
Brayden Jenkins
Chizzy losing to O'Connor won't be an upset in the slightest.
Get the feeling he'll go flying down the rankings in 2018.

Finally, time for /180/. And it's been raining so bad that even TV is occasionally affected.
Damn, I missed the early exits of Clown, Gando (hope his daughter gets well soon) and Chizzy, but this can't stop me from posting my new shoop.
Adam Hernandez
I really hope one of these two make it far. This tournament is turning into a jobfest.
He can beat anyone if he can sneak up on them from behind with a stepladder

Feels like darts is always on.

No better feel

Same here, and same for most people. Watched some darts-related videos recently, one of those featured Gurney, and the comments were also full of hate. At first I thought he was a decent guy, but he went down the likability scale very fast. Unfortunatly, he's playing really good, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the semis at the worlds. God bless autism for preventing him to reach the finals.
Side note: I watched some old matches to get some imporessions from the times I missed. There was a match from 2003 including Ted Hankey and a young scottish player who called himself the "Dream Boy". Didn't know about that.

If Gurney and Cross roll over we might as well give MVG the trophy in advance.
>unironically putting my hopes on gurney
The fuck is wrong with me.
Matthew Lee
>Gurney
Anderson was once very dreamy.
Levi Sullivan
>ITV spending more time showing the retarded faces of fancy dress mongs unoriginally going "ayyyyyyyyy" at the camera, than showing the match.
Dumb cunt thought DvdB (ranked: 43) didn't have a Tour Card.

Hoping for Burnett and Prakash Jiwa in the final.

Stunning Cross 126 on the bull with Lennon on D10.
That's why he's #1 seed.
Evan King
Morning of upsets so far again?
Anthony Collins
Chizzy was utter rubbish against O'Connor Suljovic got outplayed by Bunt Gurney was crap but Green was even worse
Kevin Kelly
Quickly, yes/no:
Will Cross be in the PL next year?
Zachary Hernandez
Surely.
Luis Davis
Uncle Barry tends not to add three new players a year to the PL, and surely Gurney and Mensur are ahead of him in the queue? Got the feeling he'll bring Whitlock back rather than add Cross.
Jaxon Johnson
yes.
Luis Watson
