What are the best films about vampires or witches?

imo...
>Fright Night (1985) for vampires
>Suspiria (1977) for witches

Carrie

Wonder what her pale white thighs look like

Interview with the Vampire
Dracula (the one with Keeanu Reeves and Winona Ryder)

Little Witch Academia (2013)
Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade (2015)

man can you imagine having her striping in front of you showing those pale tits and pussy ready to take your dick in

Låt den rätte komma in (2008), Alfredson
A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014), Amirpour

*sighs* me too

The Craft for witches.

Near Dark for vampires.

Ginger Snaps for werewolves.

Interview with a vampire

The Crucible

Interview with a vampire is what it used to be called.

>Let The Right One In
>The VVitch

Everything else I've seen has been trash and/or "ironic".

It sucks massive balls, though.

john carpenter's vampires or whatever it's called the one with james woods

...

What we do in the Shadows
Blade
From Dusk til Dawn
Honorable mention: Vampires in Havanna
What we need: A Vampirella movie

The Witches (with Rowan Atkinson)
Hocus Pocus
The Witches of Eastwick
Honorable mention: Bible Black
What we need: Witchcraft with cyberpunk (I'm sure there's a roleplaying game about it)

I don't know if its the best, but Only lovers left alive is a pretty good film.

...

>Carrie
If you consider Jean Grey a witch, sure

yeah Carpenter's Vampires is pretty underrated

Shadow of the Vampire is pretty great. It's about filming Nosferatu but he's actually a vampire. Neat concept.

Interview with the Vampire is kino

>Neon Demon
Were they witches? Stroke me more as cannibals

>Witchcraft with cyberpunk (I'm sure there's a roleplaying game about it)

Belgian spoof documentary "Vampires" (2010) is astonishingly fucked up. It's a comedy but there is some real horror in there as well. I thought I'd seen everything that could be done with the tired old vampire bullshit but they actually manage a few new twists as well. Like the "sun and Moon" game they play in the cellar with victims. Or deliberately turning a retard in a wheelchair into a vampire for a laugh...

VAMPIRES
The Lost Boys
Fright Night (og) and Fright Night II
Interview with a Vampire
Bunnucula
Near Dark

WITCHES
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
Macbeth
Teen Witch
The Love Witch

Beautiful Creatures.

The best vampire film ever made is the Hammer film the Horror of Dracula.

I enjoy all the Fright Night films tbqh, even if the original and remake are the best.

>What we need: A Vampirella movie
Don't we already have one?

youtube.com/watch?v=gYxU8bfwB-U

Oops, missed that. It isn't even that old (1995), but it went past my readar this whole time.

the art for the first one is fucking godlike
that mouth

Has anyone here seen Twixt? Is it worth watching?

It give me some indonesian floklore demon vibes

ikr. they rarely make posters like this anymore

>What we need: A Vampirella movie
We got one in 1996 On the Sci Fi Channel.

Bet you can't guess how well it was received.

van helsing

lesbian vampire killers

The Craft was so cool. That kind of urban fantasy aesthetic was very new to me. Modern mainstream cinema isn't exploiting the city witch genre enough.

vampyr

Dracula: Dead and loving it, the Mel brookes kino

Rosemary's Baby

And this Arnold flick literally no one talks about. It scared the shit out of me as a kid and fueled my interest in urban fantasy.

The TV Show is even better

>your waifu will NEVER EVER be a real vampire and feast on your flesh until you're dead or turned into her slave for eternity

It's pretty shitty unless you want to gawk over Elle. Can't think of anything redeeming about it tbqh.

Byzantine for some sexy vampire drama.

It's also in the same world as Interview with the Vampire

>american vampirekino
step aside kidos

With John "Being" Malkovitch. Fantastic, really.

No love for 'salem's Lot?

Lost Boys.

30 days of night is the best vampire movie.

The Hunger.

>tfw they just HAD to make a shitty murrican remake

Also Blood and Roses

This

>Were they witches?
Not explicitly but that's the vibe I got

>How do you interpret your character’s final scene?

>Jena Malone: The only way I could think of it was that I had to be very literal. I couldn’t think of it as, “This is the seventh girl she’s eaten, and this is a ritual of magic,” although it absolutely could be. For me, it was a ritual that happens after you are able to be close to someone. It’s a highly teenage state, actually, where you’ve just left the lips of your lover, and you come back, and you’re swooning at the moon, and you’re touching where they’ve touched. It’s a very beautiful, nostalgic point of view. But within that, there’s the twist of sort of this bloodletting, which you feel it’s almost like something’s happening inside of her body that’s going back to the birth, or menstruation, or a rebirth. It feels so positive, where, normally, blood feels so negative. I like that I was able to create a holistic, love-like ritual that ended in a rebirth.

Is this a good movie or just waifucore?

Take. Take me home.
Cause I don't remember.

brb literally killing myself unironically wish me luck in the next life

It's decent. It does a interesting and different take on vampires and Saoirse and Gemma acting in it is pretty good.

What kept it from being great was the shitty romance subplot really.

When it comes to silent-kino Hexen is the only answer for witch movies.

>Hexen
Haxan
My bad. Hexen is still pretty rad though.

Looks like a Jew.

Hocus Pocus

>Vampire Lovers
A terrible movie with a nice collection of beautiful women in it.

Fright Night Part 2 poster is just a kawaii version of the first one

>he doesn't know the traditional vampire myths are really metaphors

What we do in the shadows is one of the few movies about that subject that I enjoyed

I don't know about 'best' but my favorite vampire movies are Near Dark and Stake Land.
