This is literally the same movie as every Woody Allen movie ever. He just makes the same movie in different settings with nominally different characters.
All of his movies contain time travel?
such a lazy argument
Fuck paris and it's overrated crusty "art".
>takes place in Paris
>there aren't muslims and black people everywhere
that's why it's comfy.
Paris wasn't London and it smelled like piss, but the people were nice, the food was good and it had a couple Caravaggio paintings and a John Martin painting.
Overall, not bad for being European

i knew i wasnt the only one
That movie is like a writer's workshop, I fucking love it
Definitely not for everyone tho
Laying it on pretty thick aren't you, that doesn't surprise anyone.
Anything with paris in the title makes me physically sick tbph
Are you British?
Or did a french girl cuck you?
Before Sunrise
I just love the summer/hot day feeling I get when I watch pretty much any movie set in LA.

Neither, it's just a brand that went out of style decades ago. Now it serves as a beacon to people seeking acceptance by latching onto a played out, boring and immensely exaggerated trope
Denzel Washington playing a Jamaican cop with the goofiest accent I've ever heard.
>"dere ain't no such ting as a ten tousand dolla bill"
My dad and I used to watch it all the time, when I was 6 he tricked me into thinking that he was playing the main character and that Denzel Washington was just his "actor name". I didn't find out he was lying until I was 8, not cool dad.
Hopkins looks nothing like Nixon but did a phenomenal job playing him imo. Really love this movie, showcases the very best and very worst of the man.
>kathy bates

Wes Anderson movies are very comfy too
Anything with Walter Matthau or Jack Lemmon in it.
Preferably both.
Preferably 1968's The Odd Couple.
The Ninth Gate is such an essential comfy film. Never thought I'd want to be a book dealer until Johnny Depp came along in that crazy average outfit
Not to mention falling in love with pic related every fucking time
It is quite the comfy movie. I can rewatch it forever. It has all the right elements.
Bitter Moon was Polanksi's love letter to her.

Great suggestions but pic related is the true epitome of comfykino. The way they capture white suburbia in the late 80s is just so wholesome and sedating.
We have know this since the 70's. Some are better and some are worse movies either way.Yes it's lazy in a way, even Allen admits to it.
Whats your point?
Any david lynch film except eraserhead and lost highway

Starring in a modern b-movie aka: "independent film"
You're saying it was badly cast? I loved just about everyone who was in it.
Spirited Away or The Big Lebowski. They do something to me, man
While not technically his best, Ohayou is objectively one of the most feel-good movies of all time
>f-fuck your comfy movie
>tfw you will never eat hot miso soup with a qt japanese pie
This would be comfy it wasn't for the wife and her family being infuriating.
this one is particularly comfy
also why the fuck is everyone tryin to pass non-comfy films as comfy?
Have you actually seen the movie? They talk about this
Lost In Translation

Wim Wenders ist the absolute god of comfykino
This is the easiest way to spot someone that hasn't watched all his movies.
worthy of such a lazy filmmaker
