Post an overrated statistic in any sport.

Pitcher wins in baseball are retarded.

>number of corners

>possession

you unironically have to be a solid pitcher to lose 20 games in a season

My guess is it is has even more correlation with table placement then possession. very strong correlation

any stat in football other than passes failed

in hokkei, whats the point of using GAA as a metric for measuring goalies when defending is a team effort.

to justify paying the lucky guys more money

>successfull dribble

>le OPS!!!
reddit the stat

>Grant Fuhr was a good goalie

...

>when defending is a team effort.
Can someone tell Nashville that?

pitcher wins are a tradition from a bygone era when men were men and they used to pitch complete games. 7 innings is still a good gauge of a starter's effectiveness.

>Any statistic that isn't "winning goal"

>free throw percentage

>defneding is a team effort
>implying its not left to the two-way RW while the offensive LHD drives the play

>offsides
>shots
>corners
>distance run

>win-loss record of a player when he starts
what if that player was in a shitty team for a while before getting good results?

>plus/minus
>player efficiency rating
Retarded metric for NBA players

>I don't care that our goal was raped 7 times by the eternal kraut, did you see how little passes we failed???

historical win/loss ratio between two teams going back 100 years

it's interesting, sure, but them some cunt inevitably tries to pass it off as a way to predict the result

OPS is more palatable to normies than saber shit like WAR

>Pre-assists

The rebound statistic is the most meaningless thing in Basketball. It doesn't separate contested rebounds from uncontested rebounds, and it doesn't separate offensive rebounds from defensive rebounds. Literally anyone on Earth can grab an uncontested defensive rebound, it's just catching a ball, it's worthless. While on the other hand, grabbing a contested offensive rebound is extremely difficult and very impressive to pull of, yet these two types of rebounds are categorized in the same statistic. Absolutely retarded. It takes away credit from legitimately good rebounders and it gives undeserved credit to mediocre rebounders.

shots on/off target

>heatmaps

>air yards

>successful tackles

>goals scored

Completed passes

Literally irrelevant

Is that Ice Poseidon?
