>Star Trek Discovery is a mess >the Trek universe has been radically redesigned at the insistence of CBS chairman Leslie Moonves >designs of ships, aliens and uniforms don't fit with anything that has gone before >prime timeline replaced with concept of trans-dimensional universes with shifting elements >Brian Fuller left in protest >merchandisers already burned by JJTrek reluctant to get on board >several actors want out >Netflix furious and may demand their money back
Bryan Fuller was kicked out because he couldn't get his shit together on schedule which is a problem he has with every show. They gave him a delay and then another and then when it became clear he would need a third they gave him the boot. Since he left there have been no problems.
Brandon Peterson
Not surprised at all about STD crashing and burning.
Nathaniel Torres
bump
Christian Sanchez
New uniforms look like the 3rd JJ movie. This is not a good sign.
Jackson Brooks
Sounds like a warp breach in progress
Lucas Thomas
>trans-dimensional
Jeremiah Morris
More goatees and Sexy outfits for evil counterparts?
John Hughes
Not sure what this smear campaign is all about
I can understand trek nerds being upset that they've changed set and ship design, but that doesn't necessarily make it bad, they're just trying to branch out from a franchise that's had declining viewership since DS9.
Everything else is just rumor and corporate bullshit. And Fuller didn't protest, he got the boot.
I'm willing to wait and see what it's like. It could be great, could be shit, probably still watch it anyway.
Star Trek fan cradle to grave you fuckin nerds
Lucas Russell
We have plenty of Trek material to geek out and sperg over. I'd be happy if the series just faded out and we were left with everything we got.
Noah Adams
>prime timeline replaced with concept of trans-dimensional universes with shifting elements
Gabriel Carter
I dropped this bullshit as soon as it became clear this shows main objective was shoe-horning in as many minority characters as possible. Fucking sage, hope it bombs along with the nu-Trek films so we can get some proper Star Trek once again
Brayden Wood
Star Trek is now officially going all out to appeal to the Sup Forumsmblr demographic of legbeards and nu-males, if the reboots weren't bad enough this will be the final nail in the coffin
At least I have 3 seasons of TOS, 7 of TNG and 10 genuinely good movies they can never take away
Fuck you CBS and Paramount
James Garcia
I really want to APOLOGIZE to B&B. I thought they were stupidest hacks ever.
Caleb Davis
>10 genuinely good movies Tourist detected.
Sorry you were too busy false-flagging about being a Star Trek fan and you didn't have time to actually watch Star Trek, but I highly recommend that you actually get around to it some day.
Christian Cook
you do realise that >proper trek invented including minority characters?
Owen Sanchez
>implying those movies are worse than the bad episodes of each respective series
Aaron Moore
That wasn't the implication at all.
Hunter Price
At this point it's clear they're not going to win back fans of the show so they may as well go for Broke and make an entertaining TV show. People will just say it's not canon anyways
Colton White
I beleive it
Logan Robinson
D R O P P E D
Luis Watson
Why would you tell such obviously disprovable lies? Bryan left in October and the last delay was January. And the source is in the post.
Michael Morgan
What's your favorite movie and why is it Tall of them? What's your favorite series and why is it Dall of them?
Anthony Jones
Sorry, no. I like some more than others, and some I don't like at all.

Good, try is dieing and need a Longshot if it is to survive.
The entire thing should be in thee jj verse, it would be a good excuse to to different things and have modern advanced tech instead of the bs 1950s future tech they are stuck in.
Wyatt Fisher
Why does everyone ignore TAS
Angel Brooks
They newest movie was goat. I don't know what you are bitching about.
Nathaniel Garcia
No Chekov == Not Canon
Brayden Martin
Is that Spoock?
Jaxon Sanchez
The new movie was shit >shaky cam close-up action >only memorable part of the soundtrack is the reused 2009 theme >zero character development >villain is so generic nobody even remembers his name >or his motivation >shoehorned "muh unity" message despite the fact that the good guys win by Kirk fighting 1v1 >villain also used a literal swarm to fight, hypocritical of his own message yet this is never addressed >bad guys get destroyed by playing le ebin song >enterprise gets destroyed AGAIN
Luke Hughes
I bet you are the kind of cancer that defends the reboot verse and ENT. But I agree, lets wait and see even if my hopes are pretty much zero and that was true from the second it was announced.
Bentley King
ITT: NERDS
Dominic Clark
the nu-boots were made for normies and chads though
Mason Anderson
Enterprise is underrated.
The fact that you hate it only makes me more optimistic for STD.
Asher Martin
Socialist military sientist utopia isn't realistic. Modern adinances want something futrustic and plausable. Not old timy and rehashed.
Eli Richardson
I bet you like the TNG movies too you fucking hippie.
Elijah Ross
>"DURR hippies are bad!" >in a Star Trek thread You are not of The Body.
David Torres
Learn to take a joke like your mom takes dicks you triggered hippie.
Luke Baker
well, you have shit tastes so obviously you are going to enjoy STD
Leo Stewart
genuinely good movies topkek
Thomas Morris
But TOS had a whole episode about how hippies were bad
Caleb Kelly
They should just use the STO uniforms desu.
Hudson Lee
Only one? Watch again pleb. I count 5.
Brandon Bell
And everybody hates that episode and pretends it doesn't exist.
You are not of The Body.
Luke Gray
>Played this from 2010 to 2014
all that crazy time i wasted, but it was cool getting high and imagining like you was in a new show
Joshua Morris
>10 genuinely good movies
Jack Long
>not including DS9
Kevin Green
he probably only watches stuff that got released on Bluray
Colton Campbell
The Captain's uniform looks like a motorbike jacket, the officer ones are fine though.
Does the belt mean they're wearing trousers instead of unitards now?
Juan Morgan
>>Implying A Private Little War isnt a condemnation of the 60s antiwar hippies
ok bub
Juan Walker
DS9 best star trek.
Nicholas Lee
Patrician.
Benjamin Gray
There are a lot of pure, flat-out boring episodes. I can't remember a single one in TOS, and TNG was only boring in their infamous "it's a negotiator episode" episodes.
Jackson Wright
All of the entitled millennials that can't scrape together $6 hate it preemptively because they're vehemently against CBS All Access.
It comes up in literally every thread in /r/startrek about this show.
Lincoln Butler
>the Trek universe has been radically redesigned at the insistence of CBS chairman Leslie Moonves
200% MAD
Luke Foster
just wait for big brother to start then catch up on it. at this rate, it will have to be bbott 2 this fall, if you're lucky
