Lets finally settle this

Lets finally settle this

What is the best capeshit ever made?

I like Superman II better than Superman to be honest. The Richard Donner cut, anyway.

That's a fucking juvenile buzzword. You're under 25 right?

...

I just downloaded Batman and Robin.
Did I made a mistake?

Did you plan downloading it?
If you did, you haven't made a mistake

I mean, I learned from the Lego Batman Movie that there are more than just The Dark Knight Rises, so I figured maybe I should watch some.

>there are more than just The Dark Knight Rises
herecy

Nolan made some others too, but don't fall for the meme
TDKR is all you need

Oh boy I wish i could watch Batman & Robin for the first time again.

If you watch it as a parody it's 10/10

nope. its how Batman used to be , fun and campy .. not grimdark and edgy.

/thread

1.-TDK
2.-Logan
3.-BB
4.-Spiderman 2
5.-Batman
6.-X2
7.-Batman Returns
8.-First Class
9.-Superman
10.-Iron Man

Honorable mentions: DoFP, Winter Soldier and GotG

>good balance between grimdark and fun
>10/10 action
>9999/10 sonar vision
>comfy soundtrack
>top-tier villains
>sexy electra
>batfleck originalo

>TDK

dropped

One of the worst pieces of shit ever conceived. Bravo, jackass.

The Richard Donner cut has Lois tricking Clarke into revealing that he's Superman by shooting at him with blanks right?

I love that a lot more than him accidentally putting his hand in a fire.

Yeah that's the one. It also gets rid of most of the retarded fight at the Fortress at the end among many other things.

No paper mache symbol throwing.

Pic related.
Man of Steel gets second place.

>none of them are animated
Animation is the best medium for capeshit.

You have answered the question fool.

The only one you have missed in your capeshit list is the best.

Because it is not a capeshit but good crimi.

The Dark Knight.

Where is Green Hornet?

Yeah and it removed the retarded comic relief during the big NYC fight. It's far superior and it's a travesty that Donner got fired.

Well...WB executives meddling. Ever since the 80s they have a bad habit of fucking successful concepts up.

Idk I really like all of those. Haven't seen Logan yet. Saw Spiderman 2 and X-Men 2 in the theater as a young boy and loved them, but Burton's Batman is the movie that made me not hate superheros. Also, Prince.

Spider-Man 2 will always be king

I know you're probably baiting, but
>1 scene had 1 song from 1 group I don't really like
does not make a movie bad.

I never watched because Seth Rogan, Is it good?

Not really.

Superman (1978) is good. I have the poster hanging on my wall.

>baiting
I'm not? I was using hyperbole, yes, but I do think the movie sucks.

Meme

wheres watchmen

Nope.

I'm sure i saw it somewhere

Watchmen
Man of Steel
Batman v Superman

And soon to be Justice League.

Iron man 1
Watchmen
Avengers

These would be my top 3

Make it a top 4 and add incredibles

dude you are so right

Superman II and X-men 1. I know Batman was super successful but I don't think we'd have Iron Man or Avengers if X-men 1 tanked. It totally re-ignited everything after Batman went off the rails. It was like, wow we can get all these famous people to become comic characters on a team. Its the same formula.

Terrible taste. I saw this in the theatre and I don't remember a single second.

>Logan
>Watchmen
>BvS
Top 3 capeshit

Was anyone really famous on xmen before xmen aside from Stewart and magneto?

Spiderman 2 > Logan > X-Men 2 > Superman > Batman >TDK > Captain America 2

This

I went 2 or 3 times to it, so can't comment on that.

But I know the feel, can't remember anything about MCU movies apart from first hulk and iron man.

Anna Paquin was an oscar winner.

Superman the Movie and, despite its redditness, GOTG.

superman is by far the worst of that bunch. also DotFP >>> X2, and Returns >> Batman

spiderman 2 is capekino at its finest, it will never be topped

Logan>Batman Begins>Hell Boy 2>Captain America Civil War>Batman>

I liked the first one better.

Good taste

>no TDKR
>no BvS
horrible list, you retard

I think history has decided that it's Dark Knight

1. Spiderman 2
2. Winter Soldier
3. Logan
4. Iron Man
5. Civil War

you mean IMDB trolls decided

X-men probably had the most substance in terms of social commentary, especially the first two and first class, although I hear Logan is apparently the tits

Batman is ok but the lessons and conclusions drawn only really apply to this genre so it's less relevant

superman is garbage. same with avengers bullshit

I've always said SM2 and X2, but then I saw Unbreakable for the first time in a while. It's fucking amazing.

He saps Zod of his powers, slowly crushes his hand, and chucks him down a pit of death. It's a fucking terrible movie. Superman doesn't kill.

Why Avengers?

Pretty much this desu. I've enjoyed a couple of capeshits, but they either hamfist a message like Watchmen or BvS, beating you over the head with a bludgeon of overbearing themes and metaphors.

The X-Men franchise has had the most consistent output in terms of balancing character-driven stories (rather than "power-driven" stories) with sympathetic consideration of the human condition and the interesting action sequences we expect from capeshit.

Whilst there are certainly large flaws in several of the X-Men movies, I've only enjoyed Raimi's Spider-Man as consistently as X-Men. Fox just seem to have the best capeshit.

Ending was dogshit though

>but they either hamfist a message like Watchmen or BvS, beating you over the head with a bludgeon of overbearing themes and metaphors.

OR they are a verisimilitude-free quipfests of impossible to follow CGI gymnastics and lightning.

That's why the Donner cut is better, it has a scene cut from the theatrical release showing the rogue Kryptonians getting arrested.

This is objective.

It's not really capeshit per se but it's still comic book movies as people dressing up like super heroes without any powers.

Kick-Ass and Super

shit tier meme list

Why have none of you faggots mentioned Dredd yet

Dredd is shit

personally i would swap TDK and BB with Batman Returns or the Ang Lee Hulk film, but otherwise thats a spot on list.

>Lady Snowblood

Honestly, the right answer.

Actual capekino list

Anyone who says anything other than the Dark Knight Rises is either stupid or memeing

Captain America: The Winter Soldier deserves a spot in the top 10

You know what? Dredd is fucking awesome. I would have mentioned it, but I just don't think of him as a "super hero." It deserves its place among the best comic to film adaptations for sure.

>no 'Danger: Diabolik'

batman begins is the only capeshit movie i have ever liked.

The fuck is BB?

Nevermind, figured it out. Batman begins

Are we specifically talking PG13- PG capeshit?

If not, probably Watchmen.

If so, probably TDK, followed by Spiderman 2, despite the blatant anti-antisemitism.
