Over the course of the last few months, I've seen moderation action taken against (some) retarded topics getting spammed as well as political discussion, but the board is still got metastasized cancer.
Long story short, we need fucking bans for people dropping one-word meme-spouting posts that are in every, and I mean EVERY thread.
Moderation is missing the point on this. If people are talking about stupid shit, a meta topic, or some tangentially related political angle (all of which being against the rules), they're TALKING. They're SAYING THINGS. That entire process has mostly ground to a halt in favor of single-word memes.
If you filtered out and range-banned every single-word post that says "Seething", "worked", "Cringe", and "BASED", that would probably eliminate most of the problem by sweeping up all the people who post the rest of the cancer.
