>he is not as talented as messi >he just works hard >he is just a poacher >he just taps in penalties >not even top 10 of all time
Why are missifags so insecure they need to deny the talent of Ronaldo? Why do they conveniently forget he was a better dribbler@customers Missi could ever dream to be?

honestly, it is a very sad state of things. Bandwagoning multiple balloon doors Messi just to be cucked by the goat few years down the road. I seriously fear for their mental health if CR adds another CL/BO to his collection, I can't think of any delusion helping them cope tbf
Isaac Gutierrez
you now remember Ronaldo
Lincoln Brown
Ronaldo is the Kobe Bryant of Football. He's a really good player that people and the media try to pretend is an all time great

It means >solely looking at stats except for the ones we don't like Penaldo wins lol
Hunter Jenkins
I don't think it ever did.
Jace Barnes
yes it is awarded to the best player
best is defined by missifags to be the most talented whatever they mean by this, while the rest of the world means the best performances weighted against the importance and difficulty of the games averaged for the year
Ryan Peterson
Why are you replying to someone who obviously doesn't give a fuck about your childish ass retarded argument? Messi v Ronaldo is the kindergarden level of football conversations
Thomas Parker
based neighbour how will fraudssi soybois ever recover?
Christian Brooks
trying to help him, being in denial for too long will wreck havoc on his mental health
only missifags try to downplay this argument >it was clear years ago who is the better footballer >messi is a genius, ronaldo is a hard worker >it is the kindergarten level of football conversations
tbf anyone with half a brain should reevaluate this position in the light of what ronaldo achieved in the last couple of years and how missi failed to deliver
Christian Young
>even in the 6-1 psg comeback all missi managed to do was not miss his penalty
ajajajaja but he was GOAT against ecuador Z team paid off to let him qualify
Oliver Gutierrez
Messi is a soyboy autist who lucked out with insane skill while Ronaldo from day 1 strived to be the best there ever was while also being skilled but not quite as skilled as the autist, and has surpassed in individual awards through hard work and determination and going from trying to be the best to knowing you're the best
tl;dr TSSSSSSSSUUUUUUUU

Just saying you are retarded, the only relevant penalty missed by Messi was in the last Copa America final, but still, he got the first one and Vidal had already missed his, so we actually didn't lose because of Messi
Logan Cook
When have you ever watched Cristiano and thought to yourself 'wow, this guy is just so far ahead of everyone else, he might just be the best ever'
And be honest
Wyatt Watson

It's subjective. For me, Messi is fun to watch. CR7 isn't as fun. So it's simple. You can give Ronaldo every balon d'or, every golden boot, every trophy, if the two were playing at the same time in different games, i'm watching Messi, not Ronaldo.
Jackson White
did you watch messi when ronaldo was playing juventus in the CL final last year? :3

obviously not
but if you give me unlimited money and tell me to build a team, Messi is the first player i'm taking. if i were building a global advertising/branding campaign i'd probably do a deal with ronaldo first.

But Kobe is top 5, Hiro.
He's literally better than LeBron.
Fucking non Americans don't talk to me about basketball.

imagine ronaldo is fucking pissed (((uefa))) let's a roided manlet play the game. he should be sitting on 10 BOs and a couple of extra ligas and CLs if missi an farcelona were competing on equal footing. Then autist come and spewing this talent bullshit DESPITE ronaldo being twice the player is really insult to injury

funny I read that greentext and totally agreed with it and only then realized you were being disparaging

Will never understand how anyone could support Ronaldo. Ever. He's a colossal faggot and more of a primadonna bitch than any woman soccer player out there. Then you have Messi who puts his head down and does his job. Funny thing is, this wouldn't even be a conversation if Ronaldo just focused on his job too, instead of spending most matchdays making sure his hair is perfectly gelled and pouting when his teammates score.
Oliver Morgan
not your fault pal, mutt media is just too good @ brainwashing. We adults have no problem separating the public image of a player and his performances and achievements
Aaron Russell
remind me who's the one covered in hideous tattoos again
Easton Lopez
It's clear to see for anyone who has played a bit off football and understands the game that Ronaldo is more the beneficiary of his environment than Messi who can initiate play from anywhere and any circumstance. Ronaldo always needs special conditions to thrive. He was truly great for the end of his Man Utd tenure and for the first couple of years at Real, but he has declined drastically. Don't get me wrong, he is still class and his little renaissance to clinch the CL for Real last year was brilliant and entitles him to this years' Ballon D'Or - but he's still not even in Messi's league when you compare their careers as a body of work.
Juan Lewis
>It's clear to see for anyone who has played a bit off football and understands the game that Ronaldo is more the beneficiary of his environment
kek, if you played more than a bit of football, you realize Ronaldo did it with at least 3 teams, while Messi best performance was usually on team refballona and constantly failed with argentina, especially in the biggest moments.
But cr depends on his environment suuure. Tell me more about talent and innate abilities
Caleb Thomas
>won trophies with Gago, Royston Drenthe, and Anderson Oliveira >needs special conditions to thrive.
David Ward

Ethan Stewart
>Did he had a better year than Messi? Yes >Is he top 10 all time? Yes >Is he better than Messi? No and each year it becomes more obvious
David Ramirez
Apart from his impressive renaissance in the latter rounds of last years' CL, Ronaldo has offered little compared to his previous standards. He scores when the team's aleady winning. He offers very little in general play. When things are going well he capitalises. He was quiet during Portugal's Euro win, not exactly a driving force.
He used to be a match winner independent of his envrionment, but not for a few years now.
Messi on the other hand can still grip any given match and pull out a victory when the chips are down and has always had that in a greater capacity than Ronaldo. The Argentina claim is bullshit - he's had a great international career, won many tougher games than Ronaldo has ever had to on his own.
Oh were those the only players Ronaldo had help from?
I can pick out a few scrubs from any of Messi's teams as well. Silly argument.
Parker King
>apart from when Ronaldo is in god mode, he is not that good are you for real?
ronaldo single handedly get portugal out of the group at the euros and won more with Gago than Messi
Messi went messing in at least 3 finals and he is a flat track bully nowadays get off your messi glasses l8d. His international career is SHIT and argentina would have probably won more if they don't have to accommodate the little autist
Oliver Collins
>and argentina would have probably won more if they don't have to accommodate the little autist nobody believes me when I say that but it will become apparent when he finally fucks off and they win a copa or smth immediately after
and mesSHITTERS will STILL somehow find a way to give him credit. lol
Jacob Powell
There's only so much one man can do. Messi was great, if not god-like, to get his team to a WC final. At the end of the day it's still 11 men against 11 men. Neither player is going to be amazing every game. I can point out plenty of Ronaldo examples too. My observation is simply that Messi generally makes more meaningful contributions i.e scoring when his team actually needs a goal and isn't already 2-0 up on a more regular basis and does far more in terms of general play.
Samuel Garcia
it's like a religion, maybe more of a cult. Just look at AS Roma, they loved sucking Totti's cock more than winning. Messi's rage quit could have been a blessing in disguise.
Gabriel Anderson
As much as I believe Messi is the superior player, this is a good point. Although it's unclear to me how much of this is down to Messi/his coaches demanding a system being built around him and how much is down to players like Aguero and Di Maria shirking responsibility. It's not like Messi's the type of player who's afraid of playing in a team-mate or would take the huff if they scored.
Hudson Torres
everyone who unironically thinks ronaldo is better than messi is: >a third world subhuman >a real/manu fan >all 3 I've never seen any evidence in the contrary
Samuel Nguyen
the hungarian guy is neither
Cooper Martin
>messi does nothing and team isn't efficient either >higuains fault lolmao >his team does smth but he doesn't >wow messi carried them GOAT indoctrinated cult it is
Austin Campbell
Correct. There's just one example and I've never seen Ronaldo do anything as impressive as that in a big match. Messi has a catalogue.
I bet he's conditioned to be a Real fan because of Puskas.
Jordan Clark
doubt
Jeremiah Rodriguez
Yep.
If they removed two yard tap ins from his goal count he'd have scored about the same as Chris Armstrong.
It doesn't help that he's insanely unlikeable.
But he clearly isn't half the player Messi is.
Colton Gonzalez
>goals don't count because I said so
Cooper Rodriguez
Why do you need to fight?
both are great. period.
Aiden Scott
this holy shit lol
Brody Miller
A lot of autism/dick sucking going on here kek.
Ryan Garcia
I'm on your side, but there's nothing wrong with tap-ins. Ronaldo has historically shown great desire and intelligence of running to be on the end of those moves, but it goes back to my previous argument that he has for a good few years now required certain conditions to thrive. Now that his pace is diminishing, he is struggling badly and he's been hitting the weights or doing crossfit so much that his mechanics are all fucked up. Nothing like the fluidity he had at Man U when he could ghost past players.
Elijah Walker
Are you going to claim Marius Lacatus is the best player of all time then?
We're talking Messi or Ronaldo. In the GOAT type discussions tap ins don't count. A tap in is a result of team work. Team work =/= individual brilliance.
Jacob Thomas
>being able to fit in a team and shooting balls without missing isn't good >lmao das why u lost to iceland
Andrew James
he shouldn't be first choice when aguero, icardi, higuain etc. are available
great ad hominem, agreed
literally runs in a straight line and scores at the near post against who: the opponent.
Andrew Ramirez
Are you suggesting Icardi, Higuain and Aguero are better than Messi?
Aiden Perry
I'm suggesting more and more evidence showing the argentine NT should not be built around messi
Jace Powell
Messi is fucking shit since Xavi left
/thread.
Jace Sullivan
stick to rugby mate
Thomas Long
We are not, we recognize him as one of the greatest footballers of all time. Most of the time is just baiting and shitposting. Ronaldofags do the same. It's all for the memes.
