Which James Bond movie is the best? Which ones should I avoid?

Which James Bond movie is the best? Which ones should I avoid?

Goldeneye and Die Another Day
I have seen most of the Brosnan and Craig Bonds and prefer Brosnan. I have only seen one or two full Connery ones. I need to see some Moore and Dalton ones.

I think From Russia With Love is the best, and Connery is also the best Bond. He lost his touch towards the end though.

Watch all the Roger Moore ones, don't waste your time with the other bonds

for the love of Queen and country, please watch every single old Bond and never again mention Die Another Day for as long as you live.

christ you post-milennials are the worst.

Best Actors: Connery, Craig, Moore, Brosnan (better movies but he sucks at acting when you watch them again), Dalton, Lazenby.

google "Bond films in order" and you can see them chronologically that way to pick one that you like.

Goldeneye is the best movie, 100%

I don't really give a motherfuck about the Bond character or tropes

I haven't even seen a full Roger Moore Bond and only one Connery and even I know Moore is the best.

What happened from 89 to 95? Was it that hard to find another Bond or were people too busy watching gangsta hood movies for British secret agent escapism?

(((Legal disputes)))

Roger Moore is the best Bond

I think Goldeneye is the best Bond story/writing.
Brosnan is not best Bond though.

The problem is that in the books Bond went to exotic places and did cool shit, but as the franchise progresses it became Bond going to generic places doing retard-pandering action shit.

Skyfall (and Spectre) will always be the films that would hypothetically make Fleming spin in his grave, if he gave half a shit.

undeniable truth coming through... you can't make a bad choice with the first six, and you can absolutely make a bad choice with any other six

I'm Gen X and Brosnan was the Bond when I was legal age to watch R rated movies. Connery is good, but I can't really relate to the world of the 60s as much as the 90s which I experienced.

Watch em all.

>i can't relate to it because i didn't live it
>claims to enjoy movies
ur a fucking faggot dude

License To Kill is the best, watch them all.

pretty much all of the best movies were made before you were born.

Goldeneye's director (forget his name) also made The Mask of Zorro (Anthony Hopkins, Antonio Banderas) which is underrated as fuck and beautifully well-made.

> can't = can't as much
you are illiterate dude

I like casino royale. Mads Mikkelsen is so classic

i bought a whole set of Moore movies but can't watch them right now because they are almost a thousand miles away in my family's house. I was planning on getting around to them eventually after marathoning some shows.

I can't stand craig. it's obviously the writing but what a whiny cunt

he's the worst Bond though. his tenure is only good because of the villains.

go seek out all the Dalton's, lad. He's severely underrated and the action in those are really visceral and modern.

From Russia With Love is absolute comfykino

Exotic locations, gypsy fights, the entire train sequence, and some really wonderful side characters. Definitely my favourite

is that the one with the belly dancer sequence?

that scene turned me into a man.

The whole movie was much more strikingly sexual than the other Connery films

The black lace the Russian woman has must be at least 30% of the reason I like those choker things girls wear now

I hope you're telling us which movies to avoid, and not which are the best user

name ONE (1) bad thing about Goldeneye.

I'll wait.

For each Bond:

Sean Connery
Best: Goldfinger
Worst: Diamonds are Forever

George Lazenby
Best: On Her Majesty's Secret Service

Roger Moore
Best: The Spy Who Loved Me
Worst: A View To a Kill

Timothy Dalton
Best: The Living Daylights
Worst: Licence to Kill

Pierce Brosnan
Best: Goldeneye
Worst: Die Another Day

Daniel Craig
Best: Casino Royale
Worst: Quantum of Solace

Skyfall is the best Craig movie

(1) Goldeneye

You Only Live Twice is essential it's easily the most iconic Bond film.
If you can only watch one it should be YOLT

The first 5 Connery flims made the franchise, definitely watch all of them.
OHMSS is pretty good but a lot of people don't like it so that one's your call. If you really hate Lazenby in the first few minutes give it a skip
You can skip Diamonds if you want to it's easily Connery's worst
You'll either love or hate Roger Moore. Live and Let Die and The Spy Who Loved Me are almost universally considered his best films and even people who don't like him tend to think they're pretty good.
The rest of his films are pretty iffy and you'll either find them charming or really tacky. The Man with the Golden Gun tends to get a pass because of Christopher Lee's amazing performance and IIRC For Your Eyes Only isn't as bad as the others.
The Living Daylights is good and so's License to Kill, don't really have much else to say about Dalton.
Brosnan and Craig both have amazing first films, average-ish second and third films and truly awful fourth films. Casino Royale and Goldeneye would both easily make my top 5.

It happened

>Skyfall is the second best Craig movie

FTFY

meme movie that's only remembered because of its meme game

>attacking Goldeneye
>AND Goldeneye 64

high level bait.

Seems a bit pointless doing it for Dalton and Lazenby

>Watch
All Connery films
All Moore films in the 70s
Goldeneye

>Consider watching
Moore films in the 80s
Dalton films

>Best avoid watching
Lazenby film

>Do not watch
Brosnan films besides Goldeneye
Memieal Craig edgy grimdark super serious Bourne Identity flicks

Goldfinger is easily the best, I have no idea what these other retards are talking about
