FUCK YOU IT HAS ONE OF THOSE AFRICANESE AMERICANO BLACKIES SO IT'LL OBVIOUSLY BE GOOD YOU SHITEATNG RACIST FUCK
BAAASSH THE FAASSH
I never read the books. I heard they were alright but it is Stephen King so, eh.
>future flops of 2016
Were you in a coma?
Has Sony made a good movie in the last 5-6 years?
>blue eyes clint eastwood is racist goy
>2016
good, no. entertaining? maybe 21 jump street but is far far far from being a solid film.
the last of us
>2016
What did he mean by this?
21 Jump Street is good. 22 too. Both are probably the best comedies to come out of Hollywood in years.
I read the first book, it was alright. I'll watch but I know I can't expect anything from Sony.
i bet this will be great in terms of unintentional comedy
>3 months and no trailer
Holy shit I though it'd be a while before it came out. Yeah this is definitely a bad sign.
fug, i meant CURRENT YEAR, 2017
sad!
What is Dark Tower, a new porno?
>Also, it's a Sony picture.
Kek, that's really all you needed to say
>Idris Elba IS the Dark Tower
BRAVO
R
A
V
O
books 1-4 are godtier and completely worth reading (1982-1997 (he started writing it in 1970))
books 5-7 have their moments, but take the series in wacky and uninspired directions, and fans are heavily split on them (2003-2004)
this teebeeaych
>it's a Sony picture
SAY NO MORE
Fucking sony pictures, wasting money that could have gone toward the playstation department.
You enjoyed 4? I hated that most of it was a prequel.
This film is going to flop so badly. Look at the development history. It's a disaster.
It is frustrating that the narrative slams to a halt to get 500 pages of backstory but it's a pretty goddamn great story IMO
This really hurts. Its one of my favorite book series and I was hoping for a really fucking good western out of it and maybe 2 or 3 sequels as the later books are damn good. Sadly this wont ever happen. This movie will be shit and Sony will abandon it quickly and the license will languish in hell. :/
Pleb, reading them in order yes W&G slows the whole story down, as a standalone Giliad story its the best, WTTKH is 2nd
Idk, it'll suck yes, but Elba and machoney are big names it'll prob do OK based on that alone
Anyone read the comics? They're bretty gud.
This, I thought it was coming out like at the end of the year
Yea their alright, they do fuck with canon a bit, but their not bad
>BAAASSH THE FAASSH
wizard and glass is quite literally the best book in the series
>books 1-4 are godtier and completely worth reading
Honestly 4 bored the hell out of me and I never finished it.
Yeah they're actually talking about Idris Elba's dark tower.
Turn back now, that's the only good one
You missed out, godtier conclusion
I think the Art is fucking great. Jae Lee is the shit however the story doesnt feel the same at all.
This. I had hoped we would get some sort of trilogy maybe not as big of a scale as LOTR but it is a fantasy epic book series and would hope when it finally got a movie it would get a better treatment than a hastily filmed one and done when it will inevitably suck.
This.
Doesnt this book take place after Blain as well? Im pretty sure I read that.
>Doesnt this book
movie, I mean
More Hollywood blackwashing? No thanks.
Wait really? The leaked trailer showed the Prim house and Jake but it also showed Roland in New York so idk
Its really bad here, a major plot point is Roland and a 60s nig who hates him cause he's 'whitey' you take that out the story completely changes
i believe the movie doesnt follow the book's timeline. its been reported that roland has the horn of eld in the movie
This movie is not following the story of the book closely. Producers said they took some of the ideas from the book, the general story, and they're making a new one from it.
They said if you know the ending to the series, understand that this is an entirely new version of Roland's journey.
>roland has the horn of eld
WELL FUCK THIS NOISE.
Oh yea I forgot its the next time round, he better still drop Jake
so the movie is essentially roland on one of his nth go rounds that take place after the book ends
im kinda ok with that
yes
the emotional impact will fall flat. i remember reading the gunslinger in high school and getting to this part and being bummed out for days. the movie will have him get shot or something stupid and it wont even be close
But will Roland shoot him? Its very important that Roland kills him
Greedo will shoot him first
>no mutie train
>no sex demon
>no "you dropped me"
Just kill me now senpai
Welp this will suck as if there was any doubt.
>Sony
>3 months and no trailer
Wow
Jesus Christ... Make Roland a Nigger and make the man in black Chris Angel.
The only way this could get better is if James Franco plays Eddie and Seth Rogen plays Oy
>implying Wizard and Glass wasn't Kino
>implying the final book wasn't perfect
>thunderclap - where r9k breaks the world and feasts on roont brain
>court of the crimson king
>vampire of emotion in empathica
>Crimson King REEEEEE-ING
Fuck all y'all. I loved the story from beginning to end.
>Get to the top of the tower
>find the horn of Eld that was lost on the battlefield
>find that you've also turned into a nigger
what a tweest
They're making The Gunslinger a fucking nigger.
It's bullshit.
>that plan to alternate between a movie and then a tv season for every other book.
that would have been a disaster
>Deadpool 2 is over a year away and it has a teaser
>TDT comes out in July and zero marketing yet
Great sign!
We finally see her nips when?
Kek that movie is a failure.
U wot nigger?
> Stephen King will call it great when it comes out and claim that it is faithful to the books
How much damage control will we see?
Ghostbusters
reminder that King said that Kubrick's The Shining was bad
fucking hack
He had a point about how it was unfaithful to the book. That will be moot though if he claims this adaption is fine.
