'no'. I'm sure Sirotkin is fast, but I doubt he can lead a team. Obviously nothing was ever going to come of it, but the fact that they were speaking to Button and Alonso makes me laugh. Yet again, next year they will have a car that they don't know what its full potential is. I can see Paddy leaving the team after next year. Williams are utterly hopeless. I feel bad for the guys in the garage who apparently really took to Kubica.

But at least this year they seemed intent on actually doing something about next year. Mark Hughes said that the speed difference between Kubica and Sirotkin wasn't that much, so they've definitely taken the extra money.
William Diaz
tbdesu I don't think Stroll is even that bad. He's shown he has the speed at times, and even if he's had all his opportunites handed to him he's made the best of them. I know his podium was meme as fuck but I feel he deserved it all the same.

For a kid he wasn't so bad imho. His consistency was shit though. But he's only like 12 or something. I think some speed is there but he hasn't worked out how to use it yet.

motorsport.com/general/news/female-racers-disheartened-by-jorda-fia-appointment-988315/ >Leading female racing drivers have called the appointment of Carmen Jorda to the FIA's Women in Motorsport Commission "incredibly disheartening" and "a backwards step". >IndyCar racer Pippa Mann, 2015 British GT4 champion Jamie Chadwick and GP3 racer Tatiana Calderon all expressed concern at the implications of the Jorda decision.
At leats Mouton has some decent news from this shitshow >"We are also working towards an FIA Women Drivers' Academy, so we will have a good range of projects covering girls and women from eight to 20 years old, and the FIA shows that it is fully supporting women in motorsport."
Ryder Gray
Katherine Legge is one of the few female drivers I thought would have done well considering her results in Formula Atlantics(it was like a 26 cars field with lots of talent). That didn't pan out.
There are a lot of biological and environmental considerations for why women have trouble in motorsports. Aptitudes between men and women are different. Spatial reasoning and mathematics are a stronger suit of men, motorsport reflects those traits well. Which in turn means you have a small sample size of women actually interested in racing to begin with, which means that not many try, even fewer actually make it anywhere, and even fewer still will find any success. Another reason is women effectively have to give up on having children to race, seems to be a miserable life choice. No team owner is going to keep a driver's contract going through a year of pregnancy. Racing is also very dangerous and if there's one thing that triggers men more than anything, it's seeing a woman hurt. It's a biological instinct evolved in men, most team owners are men and that may be a factor when they're signing drivers. Men are considered more expendable by society, they hold many dangerous jobs and account for 95%+ of workplace deaths.
Mason Watson
The biggest reason is that girls are discouraged from being interested in racing/karting because "it's a boy's sport"
>Another reason is women effectively have to give up on having children to race Not all women want children

>it's all environmental! Women are neither brainwashed for or against racing. They just have no natural drive to competition like men do. Evolutionarily, women rarely have to compete for mates. Roughly 80% of all women who have ever lived had offspring. Quite a contrast to the estimated 40% of men who had to compete tooth and nail for mates.
Combine the lack of need for competition with a lack of aptitude (as strongly as men) towards mathematics and spatial reasoning. The demographics we see in racing are justified on Darwinian and environmental grounds.
>not all women want children That's just what women tell themselves when they're not ready, unable to have them, or are failing in a sexual system that is so incredibly in their favor.

I'm going to bite because I am bored.
Pretty sure it's the other way around. Women can have short hair, women can wear jeans, women can be tomboys and in fact it's even found very cute by both genders. Long haired men will get bullied at least in their teen years, men literally can't wear skirts even though with the right style it will be extremely manly (like gladiators. Balls so big they don't fit into the pants), androgynous men will get called faggots and soyboys and bullied to hell unless it's on Sup Forums and even then they just want to fuck you while calling you a faggot.
>Wow! A girl gamer! >Wow! A girl with guns! >Whoa! A woman who doesn't panic behind the wheel! >hahaha fucking faggot do you clean your house? I bet your wife pegs your ass? >cooking? What is your wife for? >You like fashion? Let's find you a boyfriend then lol

Is this the the kind of stuff women mean when they say drama? Mountains out of molehills?

I expect to see your dissertation in Sociology and Gender studies soon. In quantitative genetics, scientists look at variance between populations to determine how much something is controlled by genes and how much is controlled by the environment. If there are differences unexplained by environmental factors that are controlled for, then it is assumed to be partly or largly genetic (rather than assuming there are unknown confounding factors) for he sake of creating a predictive model. If the predictive model is accurate, then the underlying science is probably largely accurate even despite not knowing the qualitative characteristics underlying the genetic portions(Qualitative genetics will eventually catch up and either prove or radically change the predictive model). Quantitative genetics has been practiced for thousands of years and continues to prove accurate through results. Domestic animals are a product of it, the farmers did not know which genes would cause certain traits, but they watched behavior and practiced eugenics until it was to their liking.
How much of a Border Collie's behavior is genetic and how much is environmental? How much of a woman's behavior is genetic and how much is environmental?
These are stupid questions because it's both and you're no longer comparing variance then.

Tony Kanaan is testing the new Car with AJ Foyt's team. Indycar has kind of botched the testing schedule as well as the teams who were supposed to test. Initially it was just supposed to be Penske testing with Montoya and SPM testing with Oriol Servia.(two non-2018 drivers) Well then at the third test at Sebring, Chip Ganassi Racing was allowed to test with Scott Dixon and Ed Carpenter Racing tested with Spencer Pigot. Josef Newgarden and James Hinchcliffe were also allowed in that test.
A few drivers like Graham Rahal, Sebastian Bourdais, and Marco Andretti(kek) have voiced their displeasure with the testing schedule as it is because they have gotten no testing at all and will barely be compensated(5 hours and two extra sets of tires) for the days of testing that Penske, CGR, ECR, SPM, and now AJ Foyt Racing have gotten.
