Vietnam war*

Missing in Action

DH was more about the characters trying to cope with what theyve been trough, rather then the war itself.

This isn't a Vietnam war movie. It's a wedding party movie.

Pretty sure it's a deer hunting movie.

No, its a wedding movie disguised as a war flick with some nice hunting kino scenes.

>Kino Tier:

The Deer Hunter
Apocalypse Now

>Cinéma tier

Full Metal Jacket

>Film tier:

Platoon
Jacob's Ladder
Born on the Fourth of July

>Movie tier:

Good Morning, Vietnam
Tigerland
We Were Soldiers
First Blood
Rescue Dawn
Casualties of War

>Flick tier:

Rambo: First Blood Part II

Apocalypse Now.

You know what? Fuck it.

I'm happy where Platoon is on this list. I'd say that Apocalypse Now and Platoon are essential Vietnam War movies.

>Sgt. Barnes did nothing wrong

I prefer Platoon.

Put First Blood in Film Tier and I agree.

Also, Part II wasn't exactly a Vietnam War film

I actually did mean to include First Blood but I just forgot. I was going to put it in Movie tier, although I guess it could be considered Film too.

And for Part II, well it's not exactly set during the war. But it is set in Vietnam a short time afterwards. Rambo is sent on a mission to extract US POW's still being held captive by the gooks. That's like a fictional black-ops extension of the war.

wtf did they mean by this

If you can hold your guts in by using a pan, you'll be lucky enough to drink from Kilgore's canteen.

Might as well toss Uncommon Valor in there as well.
