We have a free press. From what I hear, russia and the UK have theirs controlled by the state and you can't criticise the government/politicians as well as you can in the US. For instance, I can freely say Trump is a cuck who like golden showers and possibly likes to be fisted as he tosses salad, and not fear for my life. The thought that becoming president would free him from criticism and make most people like him as much as his ego tells him he is liked, is hilarious to me. Anyways I am sure you'd get sued in the UK and would probably get you killed in russia. There're like 12 channels that have restrictions. It's only the basic, free ones like ABC and NBC that have actual rules. All cable stations like FX, AMC, HBO, etc can do whatever they want.

The reason they still have standards departments on cable networks is because advertisers aren't interested in selling cars during porn. When stuff gets too crazy, people start calling, advertisers start looking elsewhere, and so on. It's only stations like HBO and distributors like Netflix who are anything goes because they don't need to make advertisers happy.

Anyone can go to a doctor who just gives you his signature for $35-$60 in my state. it's mostly just asian and some british stuff. pbs probably plays the most of the latter. i think hawaii is the only place i've been where i saw a decent amount of jap and filipino stuff on tv. other than that you have to subscribe to cable packages for it. i used to get some asian channel with my basic cable like 15 years ago though. no one was watching it, so they took it off to save money.

depends on where you live, but prices have gone down. you'll usually just spend maybe $15 for a g of something good now. only met one person who sold schwag, so that was the only time i ever had a ton of cheap stuff for baking. also, it's probably easier to just drive to colorado, or new mexico if you know someone with medical that can get it or knows how to mail it. if you live in the middle of the state, you're going to be spending a long time driving anywhere though. not worth it to go to mexico.
