Has there ever been a prequel series/movie that wasn't totally terrible?

Has there ever been a prequel series/movie that wasn't totally terrible?

D&D will never make a RR prequel; there's no room for forcing a feminist message since all the women do in it is sit around and get pregnant

Spartacus Gods of the Arena

Not to my knowledge

>feminism rant out of nowhere

what the fuck, stay on topic

look at the fucking picture and what the thread's about you stupid cunt, it's absolutely on-topic, i'm explaining why a prequel isn't desirable to the current showrunners

Lyanna Stark posing as the Knight of the Laughing Tree and beating up the guys who were bullying Howland Reed. Add a witty quip about men and D&D would be all over it.

No, its fucking retarded. The same things that women are doing in the primary show is the same thing they would do on the prequel.

do you even understand the source material you tard? literally one woman does something notable and even then she spends most of the story sitting around doing nothing

Sup Forums and Reddit are rivals. They're like the Patriots from MGS twisting our memes to make the world they want.

Yes.

The Animatrix (The Second Renaissance)

Fargo S2

50% of Godfather II
Enterprise

If you keep your memery subtle it may work.

I always see widely varying reviews about that and I don't know what to think.

That doesn't count. There's like 9 different stories told in that production and half of them are trash.

The one about the track star breaking the rules of the matrix while still plugged in was pretty dope though.

>They're like the Patriots from MGS
shut the fuck up Sup Forumseddit

Ashara Dayne and Lyanna Stark could both be read as pretty active. Especially Lyanna being submissive and passive doesn't add up to people comparing Arya to her. The narrators are even more unreliable for the rebellion but you are probably a wiki fag anyway.

Note: I am not saying that there will ever be a good sequel but not for the retarded reason you stated.

Bates Motel

It's a bunch of vignettes.

The Second Renaissance is one and is very good, as is the track star one, the one with the little kids and the glitch in the Matrix is also pretty interesting.

Otherwise the rest are mediocre.

The games were good before Kojima stuck his head completely up his own ass in Peace Walker.

It's less than half an hour long, watch it and make up your own mind faggot.

the good the bad and the ugly
the new planet of the apes flicks

Hannibal

Spartacus: Gods of the Arena

it doesn't fucking matter that she's not passive, she still does relatively fuck-all apart from running away with prince charming which is only 1 occurence in a massive series of events. sure, what she does is important to the plot but only because of what it's a catalyst for. and ashara is practically irrelevant overall, grrm includes her as a red herring. women play very little role in the story, and that was my point.
its like speaking to a fucking brick wall with you, go whine about muh Sup Forums boogeyman somewhere else

Cast her

...

You've been speaking to multiple people

Anyway they have more wiggle room with RR and can invent characters or mostly do whatever they want. So long as they get the main structure right, which is a pretty cool story

>It's some paranoid tard who thinks every woman in a film is a personal affront to his infantile political beliefs thread
getting pretty fucking old desu senpai

...

pretty good actually but she's a bit too old

>a prequel story has basically no room for female characters in prominent roles
>therefore gurl-power obsessed showrunners will not like adapting it
that's the point
now how about actually responding instead of this passive-aggressive shit

this

Everything's too old for you pedos.

>Sup Forums and Reddit are rivals.
lol should we let Reddit know?

...

no OP asked for prequels that WEREN'T terrible

>she still does relatively fuck-all apart from running away with prince charming
And this is why you think you should read the book (again). We simply don't know what happened. Unreliable narrator and stuff. Also being triggered by feminism in Got is weird as fuck since ASOIAF is turbo feminist. Not in the meaningless memery pop manner but on on a profound level.
>women play very little role in the story
This is beyond retarded. I don't even know where to start.

Batman Begins.

The Godfather II
Red Dragon (manhunter is a lot better tbqh)
Puss in Boots

Temple of Doom

Casino Royale 2006 is more or less a prequel.

I don't think James Bond movies can really count

You'll never convince the cultists that not literally everything is about the secret narrative they're fed in their insular, feverish narcissistic brains.

>first in a trilogy
>prequel

X Men (FC and DOFP)

It's an interquel tho

I thought your pic was a prequel to Monty Python, and the Knight who says Ni was fighting a prequel black knight.

D&D will find a way to make it about Lyanna abducting Rhaegar.

This tbqh

Just imagine a Trident episode, seriously just imagine it

>Rhaegar and Roberts meets each other's gaze
>They approach each other at the battlefied, their soldiers making way
>soon as the Stag's warhammer struck the Dragon's sword, there were no words, as they were no need for it, only fury.
>their men watched as the rebellion reached its climax, two warriors at their best, one fought with rage and the other with responsibility
>The Usurper earned his label as his warhammer caved into the dragon's chest
>rain and rubies fell, as did Rhaegar and his name
>His men we're quick to bend the knee, but a lone kingsguard rushes to Rhaegar's aid
>sword and arrows welcomed him as he reached the prince
>Robert Baratheon shouts "enough" while Roose Bolton protests

who is this jizz slurper?

turkfu/ozge gurel

Star Wars

>Hannibal
>X-Men: First Class
>X-Men: Days of Future Past (to a lesser extent)
>The Godfather II
>Gotham (personal opinion, but I enjoyed the first two seasons)
