The afternoon starts with an unexpected all-unseeded battle between Isle of Wight youngster Keegan Brown and Austria's Zoran Lerchbacher. The Needle showed his scintillating skill in his stunning 5-setter with James Wade, while the Hypercane had both a set of faulty light bulbs and Mervyn King's sciatica to thank for beating the whingebag. Superchin averaged 101 in his 4 set defeat of Ronny Huybrechts while Hendo was never really challenged by Marko Kantele. That semi-final ended 4-1: this last 32 will probably be the same. The ultimate of cunt-offs follows as Phil Taylor's retirement caravan welcomes the slow and cheating bastard Justin Pipe. While Pheel took Chris Dobey to the cleaners, Pipe had the temerity to cough right up close to Kiwi qualifier Bernie Smith when he was going for the match in the final set. This is one of the very few times you actually want Taylor to win. Ending the evening are Raymond van Barneveld and Kyle Anderson; Barney kept his last 64 3-0 streak going against Richard North, while Kyle struggled to put Peter Jacques out.
