It's safe to say there aren't any actual Ashes left. The Urn is purely symbolic.

Would you rather face Shane Warne bowling fast or Brett Lee bowling spin?

Cricket and Hockey

Before tea?

Rubgy actually

How do they decide which opener faces the first ball?

What's the pitch like in Melbourne?

Before the first bowling change.

Lads I'm pretty hungover

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Road

Warner pulls rank and tells thed kid to face

India would shit all over it

Well then, Aus by an innings and 300?

>dead rubber test
Poms to lose by an innings then?

How do they decide which ends gets bowled from first?

When will the elite allrounder Shavid Warnest debut?

I miss when >we used to win these.

When will Australia declare?

probably kek

after meme shit gets his 400

Dunno la
Id say they always bowl to the same end at the start of a match

55 overs since Broad last took a wicket

England are only good on English meme wickets so we're fucked again

Does Moenn Ali not shave for religious reasons, or does he just like that look?

unironically reckon if this series were played in england with these squads it'd actually be a ripper 2bh

Did well in South Africa tbf.

why don't the english just bowl faster?

Would Jackshit Turd be ahead of Cummins in the pecking order in English conditions

nose long like garden hose

They're best bowler is a 36 year old Neanderthal

Bill GOATing it up in the commentary box already.

ELITE banter with Warnie.

Cook would have already walked by now if England won the toss.

Nope. Bird didn't get in the side even when Cummins was crocked. He'd be good on a greentop, reminds me of Terry Alderman, who took tons of wickets in England.

absolutely. Cumgod is purely a flat track ""specialist"". Turd can actually do things with the ball on a sticky.

Only David Warner can strike at over 100 at the start of a test innings and make it look boring

broad needs to sort out his hairline

I reckon Australia should take him ahead of Cummins in 2019.But I guess Pattinson will be the third seamer anyway(if his body doesn’t fall apart)?

he's inbred m8, the only place in the country with greentops

Ali is a Muslim, of Pakistani descent, and was born in Birmingham.[2] He belongs to the Mirpuri community; his grandfather migrated to England from Mirpur, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan.[3][4] Ali's grandmother was Betty Cox, who was White British making him mixed-race.[5] He can understand Urdu and Punjabi.[6] He became known fondly as "the beard that's feared" at New Road.[7] Ali's father worked as a taxi driver,[8] and as a psychiatric nurse.[5] He grew up on the same street as fellow cricketers Kabir Ali (his first cousin), Naqaash Tahir, and Rawait Khan.[5] His brothers Kadeer and Omar were also cricketers.[5]

Very ugly man tbf.

unironically agree
very good observation la, a factor to be sure

AUSSIE wicketkeeper Tim Paine’s father in law has died just two days out from the Boxing Day Test.
The glovesman was cleared to play in the iconic Melbourne test, but he will carry personal tragedy into the Ashes furnace if called on to bat on day one.
Cricket Australia has announced the Aussie team will wear black arm bands on day one in honour of Paine’s father-in-law Thomas Maggs, who passed away on Christmas Eve.
Paine was earlier this week given leave to attend this private family matter, but was confirmed for the Fourth Ashes Test before Christmas Day.
Paine also failed to take part in Australia’s first training session at the Test venue last week, having stayed at home after his father-in-law had a stroke.
“Tim’s one of the most mentally strong players I’ve ever played with,” Jackson Bird said of Paine last week.
“If there’s anybody who can compartmentalise that (and perform well), I think it’s him.
“The thoughts of the Australian team, our families and I think as well as the Australian public are all with Bonnie and Tim through this tough time. “Hopefully, we see Tim on Boxing Day but it’s fully understandable if he needs time with his family.”

England brings a bunch of rookies over but refuses to play them even when the series is gone and their seniors are looking bereft. New players in a dead rubber with a point to prove can add some much needed energy to the side. If you still refuse to play these guys despite the series being gone, well then why did you pick them in the first place? What's the point of picking a player in a test squad if you don't believe they're good enough to play a test if needed?

90,000 proud cucktorians in attendance to watch brave NSW, South Australian, Tasmanian and Western Australian cricketers.

for all that """"experience"""" they get from the tour without actually playing. you're right though

it's been 342 balls since Stuart Broad's last wicket

does that count No balls and wides m8?

>copy pasting a post off reddit

Might be 600 by the end of this judging by the state of the pitch
