Is it time for the MLB to step in and do something about this franchise? They shouldn't be allowed to consistently be good and able to get whichever players they want

And yet they still play cleaner than the New England Cheatriots do

>consistently

t poo sox fan

>New England Cheatriots

who?

They haven't been under .500 in over 25 years and have never had to rebuild they have a new dynasty under ten years from the last one ended

It's stupid no other league would allow this

A valid question in 1999.

It's not fair that a franchise like the Mets has to suffer at the hands of ownership while the Yankees can buy buy buy

Pathetic thread

And the Boston Red Cheats

>they have a new dynasty

No other league has playoffs dependent on luck like MLB either so that's the catch.
>Spend the gdp of a small country
>Two pitchers have a bad inning and misplace a couple pitches one weekend in October
>Lol see you next year

>a franchise like the Mets

You mean the random expansion team that tried to cash in on the NY Giants/Brooklyn Dodgers brand?

Have you seen their lineup? It's ridiculous this is why there should be a hard cap

They are under the luxury tax cap.

AmerIcan sports need to be demonopolized.

>never had to rebuild
2017 was that year

The Yankees are actually under the cap though

Haven't won the WS since 2009

...

>and have never had to rebuild they have a new dynasty under ten years from the last one ended
What were the '80s and early '90s

Doesn't the MLB have some of the best parity in the world?

the yankees are unironically bigger than major league boreball

but What about the dodgers goy?

>1 (one) team has a quarter of the championships
Worse than the NFL, NBA, college football and basketball, not sure about furpuck or other leagues

Most of those were in the 30s-50s before expansion tho

They still have almost a quarter of them since 1996. Their dynasty (4 in five years) in the late 90s is almost without parallel as well.

...

But muh core four

who can stop us?

>Cherry picking an exact year
>Blantantly overstating almost a quarter when it's not even a fifth
>Didn't win any for 2 decades prior to that
They've won 1 title outside of a 5 year stretch in 40 years. See how I can bend words and stats to fit my narrative too?

The Yankees haven't really been dominant in the past 15 years or so, just very good. Consistent +.500 seasons, 1 WS title, a few AL titles...the league is a lot more even these days. It's not like the 90s where they won 4 titles, or the ridiculous 1920-1960 period where they won like 20.

The NFL is nothing but one-game playoffs

Tbf to even get into the playoffs you have to actually be good. And multi-game series cut down on the randomness of it all. It's not like basketball and hockey where they let half the fucking league in, or football where every playoff game is an elimination game.
