That's the second best episode of that season, maybe the fourth best episode overall.

Literally just finished rewatching this episode. Are you magic, black man?

This is accurate.

reddit containment thread huh

Tfw no irl Wayne to hug my pain away

Is Holy Wayne really Holy?

Seems like Tom got good results when he stole his shtick.

Based Wayne

No.

yes

He has Manson's sex drive but has "abilities"
Also exclusively fucks chinks to create his own Blasian army

Pretty based desu

too bad he died on the toilet.

So did Elvis and he was pretty fucking based as well

that's a real mans death

>it's a Matt episode

Sometimes I feel bad for him, other times he just fucking brings it on himself

Great character acted well by the carpenter

This thread inspired me to rewatch some episodes. Just watched the one in the OP. Now watching episode 9 AKA the pre-Departure one. This show is quite powerful.

How many times is Kevin going to survive dying in season 3?
There'll be a happy ending for him and Nora, right?

No and yes

Matt is literally the John Loke of The Leftovers.
His episodes are some of the best, that one episode in season 1 where he goes to the casino is god tier.

JOHNSON?

Holy fucking SHIT HOW DID I NEVER NOTICE THIS

What I don't understand is why he denies that the Rapture happened, I mean I know he's a minister, but is the only reason because he's sola scriptura?

Was he /our guy/?

>is why he denies that the Rapture happened

He already explained that many departures were horrible people. The Christian Rapture doesn't take sinners.

So then he was a Sola Scripturafag, serves him right the stupid prottie

Nah, that's based Jericho

No. People's pain only went away because they were looking for anything to take it away from them. They convinced themselves that some magic shit could make them feel better, but really it's all in their head, like most of the other superstitions in this show.

I can't wait for the third one

...

>elder god tier
Kevin, Nora

>luckiest man in the world tier
Matt

>top tier
John, Dean, Aimee, Patti, Wayne

>good tier
Kevin Sr, Lucy, based chad twins

>unluckiest man in the world tier
Matt

>brain problems tier
Tom, Jill, Meg

>dumpster tier
Laurie

>literal shit tier
Christine

>Matt both the luckiest and unluckiest

Heart kek user. I'd agree with these rankings except I would probably put Kevin Sr. higher.

Or he actually took it away because they live in a world where people can instantly disappear or come back from death.

>I would probably put Kevin Sr. higher
Fair enough, he's great. Just wish we'd learn more about whatever the fuck is going on with him.

Matt's episode in S3 is going to be ridiculous..

Is that normal pooing Mark?

Give Daddy a hug, Nora

You forgot to make an "edgy tier" for Meg

Yeah but I think they kind of hint at Holy Wayne being "fake" when he says "I think I'm a fraud" when he's dying on the toilet (although Kevin's wish was probably granted so maybe that ruins my argument.

But also, Tom did the same thing when he clearly wasn't "holy" and still got the same results, which causes me to think that they just convince people that they're holy and people tell themselves that they are.

I have to disagree

Leftovers episode rankings

Put Dean the dog killer in top tier and it's looking pretty good.

because it caused bad things to happen to him

S1 > S2.
