I'm taking someone that did me wrong to court. He will be spending a long time in jail without a doubt for a felony warrant. The problem is I don't want him to have the chance to get revenge by finding me. Will the court or attorneys give him any of my personal information/address to find me? I know the police report has my address.
I'm taking someone that did me wrong to court...
I doubt Sup Forums is the place to ask a question like this lmao.
In criminal prosecution, the DA takes them to court, not you.
Victims can sometimes have their personal information kept confidential, but it depends! The best thing you can do is contact the DA.
Source: I am an attorney.
It's the closest to a legal board we have
Why would the DA not automatically hide my information?
Your info will likely be redacted from any court docs a revenge minded con might obtain pertinent to his case but the courts do fuck up and fail to redact pretty regularly.
Moving forward, you will have to make security measures a part of good habit if you're doing this. Skiptracing is a cakewalk in this day and age. If your security habits are lazy a determined man will find you pretty easily.
It's risky.

Public records, 4th amendment
Right of the accused to face their accuser. If you haven't already, get an injunction against the person. In my state the only way to get something completely exempt from public records is if the crime was domestic violence or sexual.
>Will the court or attorneys give him any of my personal information/address to find me?
A man has the right to know his accuser.
Sorry 6th, I'm retarded
Absolutely but it would be retarded for the courts to give a man that wants revenge my address.
>did me wrong
can you elaborate pls
No
well ok then
Just assume everyone has everything and act accordingly.
Why would they give a shit about your safety?
OP is mad that some guy cucked him so he's taken revenge by taking the poor bastard to court
Because the government doesn't need more bad press after the recent shootings.

I'd ask there or /adv/.
