or scoring them
because you won't be there
kek

Absolutely no one.

Gary "own goal specialist" Cahill

Why

Why is this meme a thing? Honestly just curious as to why people don't think Cahill is good?
Tbh never seen him play for England but for Chelsea at least in the past 3-4 seasons he's always been quite consistent imo and he saves their asses from Luiz's fuckups constantly. That one season they were shit they could have finished like 15th if not for Cahill's clearances.

>in goal
Pickford should go in goal, with Butland and, let's be fair, Pope as backup
>defence
Walker and Stones are definite starts, and I'd partner Stones with Maguire, with Rose on the left (assuming he gets fit and in some semblance of form)
>midfield
tricky, because (assuming he gets fit) Lallana is a quality player. But I can't see how Sterling and Alli can be left out of the starting XI, and if Wilshere is still fit and in form, he too. And Dier as the necessary defensive screen
>up front
Harry Kane obviously, and I would be partial to partner him with Vardy. However, with the lack of security behind them, it might be wise to have Kane flanked with wingers, which would mean a start for Lingard. The boy is limited but (and I do hate to say it) effective, although if Alli could adapt a little to an inside left position, he could have a great tourney

So my starting XI would be
>Pickford
>Walker, Stones, Maguire, Rose,
>Dier, Wilshere, Lallana
>Sterling, Kane, Alli

With the rest of the squad places given to
>gk
Butland, Pope
>df
Jones, Gomez, Bertrand, Delph
>mf
Lingard, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain
>fwd
Vardy, Rashford, Andy Carroll (because despite the clamour to rule him useless, he is definitely good for a late headed goal)

>who misses out?
Cahill, Smalling, Clyne, Hart. Either because their form has dropped too much, or they haven't played enough/aren't expected to be fit enough by the time it all starts

>NB
I would take pragmatism over hope, and drop Alli into Lallana's position while moving the industrious Lingard from the bench and onto the wing, if the situation called for it

>PS
yes, I have technically included three left backs, four central defenders and one right back. However, Gomez can play right back and Delph can play central midfield, meaning there is quite a bit of versatility in the squad

if anybody from the FA would like to contact me, simply rub your nipples and whisper "the ghost of Micah Richards"

I really want to see Brazil losing against another meme nation. They sound so fucking pretentious about their NT. I really wanna see antoher 7-1.

You picked 26, my man. Even so, good choice

>making Kane take corners again

He's fucking shit and goes to sleep at random times

furthermore, the likes of Drinkwater and Barkley (and, let's face it, anybody with an English passport) could make the squad if they have a great end to the season. Most likely to get dropped for a late surge
>Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Andy Carroll (he'll probably be injured anyway)

oh, also, no Walcott because he's awful, and no Welbeck because he's half awful, half weirdly good but always liable to be injured. Or get injured. Or just die

Where is Bruno Fernandes?

Very good post, but I'm not a fan of this Gomez meme. He's a weak link in LIVERPOOL'S defence. Surely England can do better. Also, would you consider Winks if he continues to play and perform?

Nah dude, I'd get banned for posting my 23 if you catch my drift

Alli on the left seems pointless to me. Might as well just bench him and play Lingard/Ox/Rashford or even Vardy out there

Alli is a fraud who relies on Kane's movement and passing. Lingard would offer more

can't believe I almost forgot Tarkowski. I'd get him in the 23, sacrificing Jones. I like Jones, but he often is exposed at international level

I most definitely would consider Winks if he gets enough game time, and would drop Henderson in a heartbeat. Gomez is very young so I would give him the experience

apologies for the mass posting lads, I've had a beer

Why are people forgetting Ashley Young? Offers more than anyone at left back especially on set pieces

No need for Carroll. Kane/Vardy/Rashford is enough, as Kane will be playing 90 mins in every game unless England can afford to rest him. Vardy should be getting most of the back-up CF minutes.

>dumb leaf can't read

Fagner is pretty good desu. Plus hes from Corinthians so Tite is definitely going to put him on the squad.

yeah but his name is fagner
