/bmg/ - BILLS MAFIA GENERAL: #DrinkJAXDry Edition
>tfw it is the bills destiny to advance to the SB so they can lose to the saints by missing a FG to the wide right
BILLS
FUCKING
MAFIA
NOBODY PARTIES LIKE BUFFALONIANS
All this Bills Mafia stuff is making me want to go to Buffalo for a game. Is Buffalo a nice place?
No, we need to see the Loserbowl happen.
>Vikings vs. Bills
...
>Eagles vs. Bills
is just as much a loserbowl, plus it completes the reverse sweep of the NFC East
10% of Buffalo is beautiful
90% is godawful
Nice coincidence that I'm in Jax for school and Bills Come to town.
>Eagles finally get their Owl win vs the Bills, upgrading them to a mature member of the NFC East
>Is Buffalo a nice place?
The people are nice but it's because they got no choice but to be as they survive on the fringe of the civilized world
Horribly depressing weather and surroundings though
>Game starts at 4:05am here
>Have to work 10am to 6pm
Can't drink but oh well should still have a ball. If the Bills win I might have a sneaky white rum and orange juice with my breakfast after the game.
Born and raised in Lackawanna and Hamburg. Can confirm.
You either get places like Cattaragus Creek which are fucking gorgeous, or you somehow have the misfortune of ending up a Black Rock, and get mugged.
Everyone I've ever met sucks Black Rock's dick and calls it beautiful because muh history
It's really not
>the saints
It's known as Nigger Rock for a reason. :v
Legit, I have heard stories of folks getting the boat trailers wheels being stolen because they parked to get gas before heading up for fishing the river.
>be Buffalo
>have a part of town called black rock
>everybody calls it nigger rock because it has so many African American inhabitants
I know one thing you guys don't do well and that's thinking of clever names for black neighborhoods.
Its hard to get more eloquent names for somewhere which is effectively the heroin shooters place next to East Aurora.
Besides, remember I'm from Lackawanna and Hamburg. We have always made great friends with people who try to... Remodel our communities.
are chargerbros welcome in the /BMG/? We are rooting for you to crush the jags
Greetings from Clots Nation
That was a fun snow game even if we did get refballed out of it
Fuck the Jasg up please
>as they survive on the fringe of the civilized world
Yeah, imagine what it would be like if Canada wasn't right next door.
Tennessee cannot go to New England and win. Please Buffalo win this game.
To be fair I doubt they can go into Pittsburgh and win either
Downtown Buffalo is typical for a mid to large size city. Allentown has good bar culture. Elmwood is reasonably trendy. The westside is blue collar, but is gentrifying and becoming more upscale. The suburbs are typical suburbs. The eastside and the south towns are shit. Winters are not as bad as advertised, a major weather belt actually means most of the snow hits the south towns rather than the city. Buffalo can get cold, but it's typical for the northeast. Summers are BEAUTIFUL, very active sailing, kayaking, and boating culture. Bar scene is good year round (see pic related, the outer harbor is loaded with floating bars all summer long).
Overall it's nothing special, but it's a pretty comfy city desu.
If you know somebody who knows the city it is a lot better
>Is Buffalo a nice place?
that's a loaded question. Buffalo is in a NICE location. you have gorgous natural beauty surounding the city in all 4 directions. You're just 90 miles from Toronto. 90 minutes from some great ski country. The weather is generally temperate, as Lake erie does a good job keeping the city from getting particularly too hot or cold.
The problem is the Lake also makes the weather... poor. The city is overcast with grey skys 2/3 of the year. You can literally go months without seeing a blue sky. It rains all the time in the summer, and when it's not raining the lake causes the city to hit 100% humidity the moment the temp reaches 78. Because of the lake, the city is hit with some hellacious "lake effect" snow, which doesn't stop until the lake freezes over. And when the lake freezes over, the temps drop like a rock turning the city into a frozen tundra.
Downtown is worthless, only reason anyone has to go there is to go to a Sabre's game. The suburban suburbs range from great places to raise children (Amherst/Williamsville/Clarence) to hellholes (Cheektowaga).
The most underated aspect about buffalo is the culture. The allentown art district, shakespear in the park, huge number of art galaries, nice public parks, classical theators and cultural festivals easily make it one of the most varied and enjoyable "cultural" experiences I've had in any city. Frankly, the only cities I can think of with this much culture and art are all HUGE cities with 10 times the population of buffalo (NY, LA, maybe NO or SF) making it one heck of a cultural gem. Heck I currently live in phoenix, and find myself wishing I was back in buffalo from time to time, as this is a cultural wasteland out here. If I had kids I'd definitely prefer to raise them in buffalo.
>the Saints
Bills have already lost to Giants, R******s and Cowboys. If anything they need to lost to the Eagles, but then we'd have to give the Eagles a ring.
i'm watching your game today good luck dudes
>Downtown is worthless
If you don't mind my asking, how long have you been away?
13 years
