One could say that Coutinho...slipped away

One could say that Coutinho...slipped away

Great thread.

I guess you could say he really...swung for the fences with this transfer

I guess you could say it's a CRUSHING experience for the Liverpool fans yet again.

Kult Kloppo Klopp Klopp Jürgen Kloppo der Kult Klopp Jürgen Kloppo Kult Jürgen Klopp Klopp Jürgen Kult Jürgen Klopp must be fuming right now

Liverpool 2017/18 with Coutinho
>P 18, W8, D8, L2, Win%44
Without
>P 14, W10, D3, L1, Win%71

I hypothesize that you could theorize that Coutinho was allowed to figuratively and metaphorically "slip" away or leave the English Premier League club Liverpool Football Club in the same manner that Liverpool Football Club's mathematical chances of winning the English Premier League "slipped" away on the day of the 24th of April, 2014 when they faced Chelsea Football Club in the Anfield Stadium - where the famed Liverpool Football Club captain Steven George Gerrard "slipped" or accidentally lost his balance of footing when Mamadou Sakho passed him the ball and allowed Chelsea Football Club player Demba Ba to receive the ball that Steven George Gerrard missed in order to score the goal that effectively costed Liverpool Football Club the win and therefore begin the tragicomedy of events that eventually led to Liverpool Football Club finishing second place in the English Premier League despite it being the season where they accumulated enough points to secure a mathematical chance of winning the English Premier League prior to that game against Chelsea Football Club.

And what? We can use all the money we have now to get Thomas Lemar, Naby Keita, and a decent keeper like Oblak, while still having money left over.

>overrated Monaco babby
>overrated nignog who is already being exposed this season in Bundes and the CL
>thinking Oblak will want to leave a better team for Liverpoop

You can chat shit about them being overrated all you want but it doesn't change the fact that Liverpool are set to be much greater than they were with Coutinho. He has been overrated by Barcelona himself, and has brought in plenty to the club. Coutinho has been incredibly important for Liverpool, but not £144m important.

Lemar isn't perfect, but he's still decent and has brilliant potential. He will go for about £70m which will be considered a great price later down the line.

Keita is probably the second best in the Bundesliga, and although he's unhappy right now at RB Leipzig, he will love it when he gets the move he wants to Liverpool in the summer where he can play his style of football. He's going for £40m, which will be considered an absolute bargain later down the line.

These two signings alone will be below the price of Coutinho and will improve the squad overall. Oblak will arrive at a high price, maybe £100m at most, but splash out on him and we will start taking silverware.

Add to that:
>pic related

>implying oblak would want to move from a club that challenges for both the leage title and cl title to liverpoop

>the leage title
As if it's ever going to be anyone other than Barcelona or Real Madrid winning the title in La Liga. And CL title? How many times have they won that? Liverpool at least are currently trying to build something and do have a history of winning European Cups. They're a much better team than Athletico The holes in the squad are a GK, AM and LW. Lemar and Keita could easily fill in the AM and LW gaps left by the versatile Coutniho, with only Oblak to go after that. Keita's coming already, and if we get Lemar, the game will change. Liverpool at this point will not only be a team that need him, but a team that can win things. Realistically, Athletico is not even on the same level as Tottenham. They just look alright because Real Madrid have bottled La Liga so far. CL? Not a chance.

Athletico didn't even get through the group stages...

Meant for

>Challenges for both the league title and cl title

>9 points behind Barca halfway through the season
>Didn't make it out of the CL group stage
>Currently preparing for their Euro League match against FC Copenhagen

Reminder that Liverpool is the most successful and internationally relevant team in the history of English football.
