>have to turn TV up for dialogue because people sound like they're talking in whispers
>have to turn TV down for music because it's so loud that it shakes the whole house
Is there a bigger sin than shitty audio mixing?

Ha, pleb detected
You using TV speakers, pleb?
Invest in an AV receiver and actual speakers, never had this problem since
Downloading ripper swhich dont care for audio mixing.
>he doesn't understand the first thing to be downgraded when ripping is audio
In short, stop downloading yify.
Matthew McConaughey in Interstellar
>Turn up volume to hear his whispers
>Suddenly a space scene with ridiculous bass
>have autism
>have to watch things with headphones and subtitles
I'm okay with this
I had an old box tv that used to do this for everything. being poor sucked
>not spending crazy amounts of money on audio equipment makes you a pleb
you're a moron
>crazy amounts of money
READ THE THREAD, NEWFAG
But
That literally does make you a pleb
just get a 3.1 soundbar
That fucking dust bowl sand storm nearly blew my ear drums out.
A10/V10 Thanks YIFY!
Recommend me a good soundbar senpai, can't decide by reading reviews and I've had otitis for like a weekby now so there's no point in listening around right now.
It's not his fault. Every single Nolan movie is like this.
>not having 5.1 surround
plebbbbbbbb
This thread reminded me that audiophiles are total faggots.
anyone who knows shit about anything is a total faggot amirite
>t. autist that can't tell the differnce between flac and mp3
Even that doesn't help with a lot of movies. Would it really cost them that much more to make a second sound mix that isn't for fucking surround sound?
>t.
I see the reddit is still going strong on this board with their outdated memes they regurgitate for a sense of belonging.
Yes, knowing shit about something of no value means you're a fag. Just like everyone on Sup Forums.
are you deaf or something?
>having a center channel speaker so that you can hear dialog
>audiophile
heh, nice try, kiddo
Are you buying audio equipment as a stand in for masculinity or something?
at this point i'm going to assume you're literally retarded
So that's a yes. Thanks for the confirmation.
you're really not making any sense
right now I'm wearing a pair of five dollar earbuds that will outperform any earphone/headset up to the $150 range. So, no, I'm not.
>he doesn't turn up the center channel and apply soft look-ahead compression
thank god the meme police is here
>pls stop pointing out how hard I try to fit in
dubs don't change the fact you're one of the niggers ITT with faulty ears
You're the one who has to fit in with me, faget. I've been here since the early years.
>having to jump through hoops because the audio mixing is trash
>thinking this is acceptable
>you're a nigger!
>no capitalization or ending punctuation
Cute. I bet all the girls get wet over your headphone preamp.
Your sub is too loud, or right next to your center speaker. Or you buy movies from some dude on the blue line.
Either way it's user error.
I'm having this trouble. I use a 2.0 mini system
just turn the surround mix down and center mix up in lav.
I have the same problem with sound its either too loud or too low even when I have the tv at an already decent volume
It's called dynamic range.
If you have a shit TV you can use the TV's audio normalization. It will boost quiet audio and keep loud audio closer to same level. If your tv doesn't have one of those its a real piece of shit. Obviously if you have good speakers, you just turn the audio up to reference level and make everyone mad cause its fun.
The reason they do that is to increase the dynamic range of the audio, retard.
films are mixed for theaters with actual audio systems
their audio isn't meant to be played from a basic TV speaker, which is why some people are suggesting that you invest in an actual sound system
Having a good audio system does help but I understand your pain. It can get really annoying.
Theaters are too loud all the time. Haven't you been to a theater lately?
>oh I know what gesture I will make, I saw this one on that picture of cartoon frog or whatever on my daughter's laptop
More memes?
My family has a sound bar and everything, shit like what OP said STILL happens.
I know it's annoying
L8 but
>godzilla 2014
>Voices and explosions relatively well mixed
>godzilla let's out a roar
>speakers wine and crackle as the audio deteriorates the very copper and magnets within them
>my ear drums pulse and my body coils from the horrific sound produced from my 5.1 setup
>the room fades as I attempt to unclutch my head long enough to turn downn the sound
>in a dizzying stumble, I manage to turn down the volume knob to minimum/muted sound
>could still hear faint roaring at minimum volume
Here's one done right
youtube.com
Saw Logan at a theater with atmos and the gunshot sounds were earsex.
I've always wanted this for films
... BUT, at the same time had me worried for the home release that will probably have either a replacement sound or horrible mix.
that literally exists for films
center channel is dialogue
front is for sounds effects
surround is for ambient sounds
bass for rumble
fuck me
