Why does Sup Forums hate NPR so much? Surely you find All Things Considered hosted by Terry Gross and Marketplace informative and engaging right?

I still listen to it daily, but I don't pretend it's not biased. I've been having to change the station over more and more recently, the blatant pandering and misinformation is just getting worse every day it seems.

I hope Trump wins and they have an absolute meltdown on the air, that'd be awesome. I have a feeling they're going to be even bigger smarmy cunts if Hillary wins.

It's better than rap and most garbage on the radio, but every single time they bring someone on to talk about their feminist experience or the strength it takes to be transgender, I have a hard time not changing the channel. Being effectively state media may be part of why Sup Forums hates it. Still less biased than the New York Times.

>national
>public
>radio

Kek you mentioned the two most engagingly lefty shows haha. I actually laughed. Marketplace was hilarious when Brexit happened. You should listen to the podcasts from that Thursday and the following Friday.

terry gross hosts fresh air you fucking faggot

I listen and the non-identity politics stuff is relatively unbiased and factual. That said there's too much identity politics junk and I find myself turning off the radio often.

The articles are interesting, so interesting that it really does lure you to have a sense of smugness

Used to listen to it all the time when I was a libtard. Can't tell if I've just woken up or if it's actually gotten worse. Everytime I turn it on there's always some guy with a beta cuck voice going on about "today we'll examine the struggle of a transgender illegal immigrant Muslim..." and I have to change the channel

I listen to NPR driving to/from work.
But you have to apply a filter with it - you have to 'listen between the lines' and pick out their agenda (which is fun).

Also, there is no credible alternative imho - Rush Limbaugh?! No thanks senpai...

I did, that was the happiest daily commute that I ever had.

Marketplace is pretty good. Morning Edition and all things consider vary. Props to morning Edition for being actually balanced on firearms right after Sandy Hook. And On the Media did a good price on gun control. One guest actually said, "we have to talk about race and why 80% of all murders are being committed by just 7% of the population."

That, and while everyone else can't shut up about which ever celebrity has just croaked, they're still covering the news.

They have been shilling for Hillary since day one of her campaign though.

Gun control story link.

I've listened occasionally for years. It's one of the few outlets that discuss subjects at length, rather than reduce a story to soundbites. I am generally satisfied with them but have been disappointed recently. They speak of violence against Trump supporters with neutral phrasing, even when it's clear who the aggressors are. "A clash between Trump supporters and protestors" type crap. BLM gets special treatment as well. Negative BLM acts are spoken of in the passive voice. Nobody perpetrated them, they just happened.

Still like NPR, though.

I get sick of the subtle programming and propaganda. Plus they always have human interest pieces about trannys and lefty NY Jews.

I can't identify with them

I am authentically surprised this wasnt met with cuck posting.
I share the same opinion as these guys

This.
They were interviewing a Brit about Brexit and the guy said, "The majority of young Brits voted to remain..."
Except they didn't - only 36% of 18-24 year olds bothered to vote anyway. Of course, it wasn't challenged so now Americans think this is true.

There are some other instances where they just leave out facts, like when they did a couple of GG related pieces. I like it when they do follow ups though, that never fails to pique my interest.

There is no agenda. It reflects pretty well on what people are saying. The reason more liberal people get interviews is because they yell more and louder. Just a reflection of the distribution of opiniobs in our society.

>Still less biased than the NYT
You're not completely wrong, but the NYT has been posting some interesting stuff lately. After Brexit like half of the op-eds, including (((DAVID BROOKS))) were op-eds stating "We don't agree with the decision, but we DO agree that the left has blatantly ignored the needs of a large number of whites and lower-class citizens who have real problems". Hell, one or two were even outright against globalism.

I think they're starting to realize that maybe the Left isn't what it used to be

>No agenda
Your just used to what the MSM has become.

Why are you surprised user?
We're all Sup Forumsacks after all - the hive mind surely doesn't just promote national socialism.
I'm certain we are the majority - normal working folks with an understanding of how the world works, how messages are disseminated through the media.

>There is no agenda

I was like you once.

Shut the fuck up with
> why don't you like what I like?
Dick lover. Every time you make this thread, you see most of Sup Forums listens to npr.

But then you make the same thread over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

OP is fagoo.

NPR does everything possible to claim Trayvon Martin, the Ferguson nigger and every other thug out there are innocent children who Dundu du nuffin.

It's disgusting.

Well, you certainly brought Sup Forums to the party! And here's me thinking we were being unusually well behaved, civil and erudite...

literally fox news: the liberal

Let me posit you this then:
Why do you suppose its called National Public Radio?

Who do you suppose is footing the bill?

The fact is our society is more liberal hence the funding, the vocal opinions that get coverage? Liberal.
Thats not to say that NPR isn't dangerous. There just isnt a jewish lizard running the shitshows.

I started to listen to NPR during the Ferguson riots. It was the first time i noticed their hidden agenda. Honestly its certain reporters that spew the left wing garbage. Most of the time they are okay.

Wait Wait don't tell me and car talk are both top tier.

Even the people in the comments see that. And honestly their investigation into Libya show that they aren't entirely in Hillary's pockets, and shows her worst foreign policy blunder as clear as day.

Fuck NPR, if you cant compete agaisnt other stations you deserve to die. They can go write blogs no one reads we dont need to tie up bandwidth since the internet is a thing now.

>There just isnt a jewish lizard running the shitshows.

I dunno m8. I hear an inordinate amount of reporting from Israel and on Jewish topics that don't mean shit to most of us.
They really do push Jews and they are, what, 2% of our population?

And that's when I tune to the local sports station.

Frankly, I think we'll see that after their current editor leaves, or whoever it is who demands they stay to the left, that the New York Times will be pretty middle-of-the-road or even outright right wing.

Car Talk is the fucking bomb, love those guys.

"Our fair city..."

NPR Tiny Desk concerts are absolutely amazing tho

youtube.com/watch?v=iXE_K2Kpoqc

>since the internet is a thing now.

Not during my commute. You should get out more...

>no one ever prank calls Car Talk about after getting a new car hearing ticking noises and then having it explode on call

I'll admit Jews are disproportionately represented in society and hence NPR. Tbh if they "bring peace" to the middle east it isn't so bad desu.

I open up YouTube on my unlimited data plan to pipe poor quality Death Grips albums straight to the dome

>Jews are disproportionately represented in society

I know where you're going senpai, the media conspiracy, right? Well, listening to npr, it's not hard to believe it.
I don't hear many stories about Hindus or Sikhs.

We have an NPR affiliate around here that mainly plays classical music but they're hitting you with the Black Lives Matter crap all day long.

It is very Jewish.

>prank calls Car Talk
You literally can't, there are no call in shows on PBS. You contact an intern with your question and then if they select you they call you back.

Also none of the shows are live either, they are as heavily edited as a TV sitcom.

Thanks for playing goy.

Marketplace is easily the best show and This American Life is often interesting. Nothing else of theirs serves any good pyrpose and a lot of it is this Satanic-level-evil SJW stuff of explaining to victims why they aren't really victims. David Brooks and his ventroliquist dummy serve to remind people why no one listens to pundits any more. Steve Inskeep should watch his children be raped by "refugees," then be shot in the head with a .25 acp. There was a Terry Gross interview that is actually really valuable: it was MacArthur Genius TaMaLaNaHiSi Coates (no relation to Trashone) talking with proud ignorance about how black people really are massively violent. His entitlement enabled him to be so honest, because he presupposed that this was white people's fault. At one point he described physically attacking a teacher for no reason other than perceived disrespect.

Has anyone made a filter so as to avoid the propaganda in favor of informational pieces?

Weekend stuff is entertaining for the most part.
Stuff like Rick Steves, ted radio, and America's test Kitchen are like Saturday morning cartoons.

but yeah, the rest of it is Liberal pandering pretty much.

The worst is the Moth Radio Hour, where each episode is basically some gay that comes out the closet and everyone just applauds to their boring ass stories.

Where else but NPR will you hear kvetching about how the caucus is on a Saturday, Oy Vey!
