Why "otros" ? Can't you just say vos ?

You wouldn't understand

What about nosotros?

I don't. My spanish teacher told us that vosotros isn't used in the new world, with ustedes being taught instead. Why is that?

Some retarded dialect.

and how the fuck do you expect to say "we" in spanish

Nos? Doesn't otros means others? Weothers sounds weird.

it's because vosotros is only used in spain

yes "otros" means "others" but the word "nosotros" is not a combination of 2 words, it's only one word

What? Of course it is.

>From Old Spanish nós (from Latin nōs) + otros, plural of otro, from Latin alter.

it's like how "airplane" in Spanish is "avión" but not "aireplano"

We are the ones of the language.

No, when a word is formed from two different ones and doesn't have any - is a new single word. In this case is only nosotros with a new meaning.

Pronouns are not translated that way, our language have so many alternatives to one meaning that is better to forget English way of using words.

What y'all need is an answer from someone who knows linguistics, not a native Spanish speaker who knows fuck all about it.

The use of nosotros and vosotros rather than simply nos and vos arose out of a thing called the "majestic plural", a practice which (at least in Spanish) arose in the 12th century whereby monarchs and their representatives began referring to themselves in the plural. This practice, it is suggested, is an imitation of the way religious officials—the pope, mostly—did this, and sometimes still do. I assume this is symbolic of the writing or speech coming from God and the pope as a unit, but don't quote me on that.

The use of nos and vos, then, became restricted to situations in which the referent was a monarch. In situations where the referent is plural in the natural sense (multiple referents), the pronouns nosotros and vosotros took the place of the reserved nos and vos in some Romance languages. Catalan, of the Occitano-Romance branch, does it as well: nosaltres, vosaltres. Portuguese, on the other hand, which is Ibero-Romance just like Spanish, does not: nós, vós.

Any more questions? Fire away.

Vos (you) otros (others). You and others
Nos (I/me) otros (others. Me and others

Incorrect.
en.wiktionary.org/wiki/nós#Old_Spanish

Brit is right. Nós/Vós is perfectly fine. Spanish is a retarded, uncivilised language.

have we witnessed the birth of Mexican autism?

>speaking like deaf people

Do you have a qt boipucci?

iirc plurale maiestatis was invented in ancient Rome

I'm bi but I'm a top, sorry.
I wouldn't be surprised.

>deafening people when speaking

European Spanish uses "vosotros" in informal speech and "ustedes" in formal speech, Latin American and Canary Spanish use "ustedes" in any context.

>"vous autres" and "nous autres" are actual pronouns in spanish
seems a bit superfluous
