I think they're trying to take Bani Zeid district first. SouthFront says they might be a joint SAA and YPG attack on the district. They will need to capture this district before they can completely besiege Aleppo

Darayya looks promising. Once the Siege there is complete there will be a greater availability of troops. They will either be moved to Aleppo or will be used to Liberate the East Ghouta. Once the East Ghouta is Liberated or mostly Liberated, Thousands more troops will be freed. They will likely be moved to Aleppo and to Lattakia. From there, we'll see massive gains on the part of the SAA.
