I remember I found this movie profoundly disturbing but I don't remember why.

Can someone explain the mouse hunt meme? I loved this movie as a kid but haven't seen it in ages. Is everyone making fun of it or is it actually good?

this

It's one of the best movies about brothers ever made.

I'm actually about to get drunk and watch it. I'll report back if mods don't delete this spam thread.

Thanks user.

>movie about two brothers' slow descent into madness
>not sure why it's disturbing

>descent into madness
It's about their father's spirit bringing them back together via the mouse.

>is it actually good
It is genuinely pretty dope and well made.

This movie is crazy good. Why don't they make them like this anymore?

Sure thing.

Opening is better quality than I'd have expected.

I remember crying when I thought the mouse died

I watched this movie in the theatre when I was literally 5. cant remember shit

Im gonna give it a go. I feel like im being tricked or something, but....... fuckit im gonna watch it

You won't be disappointed

>you will never have a setup as sweet as mouse

I remember always wanting to watch it when I was little because it had a cute little animal on the cover. But I remember there being something about it that unnerved me. I feel like if I watch it I'll get cursed.

>Opening is better quality than I'd have expected.
-Decent score/sound editing
-Competent slapstick
-Plenty of practical effects
-Use of trained animals
-Good direct/editing

As I said, it's pretty well made. Enjoy f@m

Who is your favorite mousekino character and why is it Walken?

this is kino, for sure

drunk aonn, bumping

fuck this is great

It just gets better and better, user. Enjoy!

I used to watch this constantly as a child.

I've always been a patrician ;)

>dat ending

Christ almighty, I haven't laughed that hard at a movie in decades. Being drunk helps, but not to this extent.

What happened to movies since then?

they stopped putting effort into family films

Oh yeah, it is worth the watch.

Yeah no shit. I mean every aspect of it is quality. Pacing, music, acting, the actors, etc. All top. Like it was done by a savant.

I only watched it because of this image posted in one of these threads like 5 days ago.

Fuck, this is pure mousekino.

The last comedy movie I watched that was this good was "High Spirits". But, I watched it when it came out, I didn't watch Mousehunt until just now.

Personally, I think High Spirits is better than Clue.

Well it's by the guy who did The Ring, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Rango. This was his first real passion project and it shows

This is the film I've watched most in life I think.

It was one of the few VHS's I had. Put that shit on repeat. Must have seen it about 30 times.

I think it formed my taste for kino.

Damn, that makes sense then. I found Rango to be much better than expected too. The 1st PotC was GOAT too.

I didn't like the Lone Ranger, but I may need to check out "A Cure for Wellness" too.

If this were made today they would have just used CGI

That cat was seriously fucked up. I guess it died?

Reminder this kino is 100x better in Russian youtu.be/0t9Tiz1_nXw?t=33

It's legitimately an underrated kids film classic.

The cinematography alone is beyond underrated. It's got a consistent mood and color scheme throughout the film. like posted.

It's a meme by virtue of it not being appreciated as actually good both when it came out and today.

The sets are great, too

Everything is pretty great, the sets were definitely impressive. I remember as a kid being fascinated by the string factory. It was awesome.

This film deserves to be spoken about the same way people talk about Rango being a kino kids film.

will Babe 2 ever get this recognition? it's also underrated kidkino

Babe 2 was never underrated. Mousehunt is criminally so

but people kinda hated it on release because it's darker than the first, and guess it stopped the possible trilogy from concluding

i like the tall brother personally but yeah walken is awesome in this

he's a good comedian. it'd be cool if they did a reunion since it's been 20 years

I haven't watched this since I was a kid, but the cockroach scene was absolutely revolting.

The part where Christopher Walken is analyzing the mouse turds then eats one seriously disgusted me too.

It's worth rewatching, user. The quality of the film was ahead of its time

i remember feeling so bad when he accidentally hits the mouse with the ball

it really was a beautiful movie
