Why is Showtime hellbent on shoving Lara down our throats? They had him headline the triple-header in October, an otherwise great card spoiled by Lara clearing out the Barclays by stinking it up. Now they're having him face a title holder that is literally molded for his style.
Thurman is likely fighting Vargas, and Spence is likely fighting Ocampo. Neither fight is particularly great. Looking forward to seeing Stevenson finally lose his title, and LSC-Mares has potential to be very entertaining.

You're all idiots setting yourself up for disappointment. Personally, I want Lara to lose, he's boring as hell and makes no attempts to even turn up against cans.
But for that reason he's going to beat Hurd. The big stiff idiots been outboxed by much lesser outboxers than Lara. Canelo beat Lara because of body shots -- Hurd is not a body puncher, he's a head hunter through and through. He usually gets the knockout when he's down on the scorecards thanks to pressure generally getting to his opponents, but that's not gonna happen against Lara who has proven multiple times he will not crack under pressure. Hurd ain't even that good at cutting off the ring. He just walks at his guy in a straight line, Trout was able to circle around him almost effortlessly at points. Fatigue is what claimed through in the last half of that fight, not great ring cutting by Hurd. Hurd kept Trout under constant pressure and active, thus tiring him out, but that cant happen with Lara.
