Do you really believe all languages are the same?

do you really believe all languages are the same?

of course not. if all languages were the same, i would be able to understand every language

/thread

then what kind of differences do you think?

different words

you think that's all?

sometimes also different letters

different words and different syntax
some are similar, some are very different

/thread

huh, interesting

indo-european languages with the roman script is superior to other languages.
other languages are just baby sounds and tiny cartoons on paper

Difference in value, artistic potential, and complexity

how about this two languages?

oops sorry

and how about this two.

how about this two?

There are similarities between them. Spanish language has borrowed words from English.

On the other hand, to answer the question of this thread, languages are not the same, because speech has both, an individual and a social side. Society will always distinguish one another, which brings as a consequence a variety of languages

I am a language realist. Russian > everything

Only for swearing.
English is clearly the best language.

what a retarded thread
no wonder it was made by american

Even it took a great amount of time and effort for me to be this good at English. And comparing English with Korean which's my mother tongue, I can surely tell even these two languages are total different from each other from vocabulary to grammatical rules. English has what Korean doesn't and vice versa. It's ridiculous to say all the languages are the same.
