>>Dentistry not covered
this is baffling

The problem is that our paid Healthcare also doesn't cover some of what you listed.

>break hip
>need hip replacement
>go to walkin to start referral process
>wait 4 hours while women get their colds diagnosed
>see doctor
>barely speak english
>books an appointment with a specialist for a hip replacement in 2023
>get shot

>Dentistry not covered
just wash your teeth
>Optometry not covered
just wear your glasses
>Physiotherapy not covered
just exercise regularly
>Prescription drugs not covered
just smoke weed
>Hearing aids not covered
just dont go to loud concerts

How much are these things in Canada?

>4 hours
wat?

>Tfw doctor books three appointments to test blood pressure that takes approximately 2 minutes each and ends up costing me €45 in total.
Wasn't even anything wrong with my blood pressure...
I feel abused.

literally any decent salary job will include dentistry and optometry insurance, and many will also include physiotherapy and prescriptions to a degree
if it's a labor intensive job, then physio will get pretty good coverage

>any decent salary job

>get a BA in anything remotely relevant
>get french fluency cert through uni
>be willing to go somewhere relatively remote or inconvenient
>search for gov't job
there, boom, easy gov't job right there

>Fell for the pol + r9k meme of university being a scam
>Now I'm a lowly paid wagiecuck with no benefits or future

Fuuuuck man. Looked up positions and now I really want to become a diplomat.
Need to live abroad for 6 months and learn a new language tho... :(

>""""""""""""free""""""""""" """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""healthcare""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
>it's not free

same except we cover optometry

>"""""free""""" healthcare
>50% income tax

"""""insurance""""" is a fucking scam

Premiums through the fucking roof and total coverage is typically only something shitty like 70%. The dental industry is sodomizing the everlasting fuck out of us.

Canadians are so fucking brainwashed into thinking our healthcare is the best in the world and we should we be "proud" of it.

The reality is our healthcare system is garbage compared to many other first world countries

>Canadians are so fucking brainwashed into thinking our healthcare is the best in the world and we should we be "proud" of it.
>everyone complains about wait times and shit service
Pick one

Is mental health care covered?

i think we should kill pharma devils and doctors who just ripping off our money and carrying out meaningless but harmful fake medicine.

>tfw broke my shoulder in 5 places and was waiting in agony for just shy of 2 hours before a nurse came out with light painkillers
>waited another 2 hours before being seen by a doctor, have an x ray and left with nurse to put a sling around my arm
BRAVO NHS

>tfw cut hand open
>go to hospital
>immediately have a nurse bandage up my hand
>notice nobody else is in the emergency room
>finally this 8 hour wait bullshit is over
>"Okay you're all bandaged up, the doctor will see you to give you the stitches, go wait in that room"
>enter room
>15 people waiting in there to see a doctor
>spend another 4 hours at the hospital
>spend an extra 2 because they put me in a hospital bed without telling anyone
>get stitches from a doctor who says "Oops, I missed this will hurt" when applying the local anesthetic
Living the dream

>TFw when mother has weird stomach pains and really high infection levels
>Doctor takes a sample of her Liver so they can make proper diagnosis
>Supposedly it should take 1-2 weeks
>Takes 5 weeks and at this point she was in so bad condition everyone even her doctor knew without the proper diagnosis she had liver cancer.
>Catch was they couldn't treat her for cancer if they didn't have proper diagnosis
>Dies 3 weeks later.

Should have sued them

Could you not have gone to a clinic ("Doctor's Office") instead of a hospital?

Well i heard there were major miscommunications at the delivery department and in general and those responsible were fired for unprofessionality and mistreatment and their licences revoked.

It was 11:00pm, most are closed and they are even shittier in general.

Well, if the injury was not too grievous you could have waited until morning or drove a little ways out to a smaller hospital where you know there will not be much of a wait in the emergency room.

I was in the emergency room of my small town (pop. 5,000) and I waited about an hour to see a doctor. If I had been in the next town over I know it could have been 4 hours or more. People who live in that town would drive to mine if they thought about it for a minute.

wew

>>Physiotherapy not covered

What? Both my father and mother have had physiotherapy and it didn't cost anything.

>tfw no dental

the NHS is a golden goose so even if everyone complains the second you suggest changing it they all go mental and bring up horror stories from the USA or make you watch Michael Moore's Sicko

It is baffling, its not covered down here either and we have everything else on that list. Big Dental must be in deep with the anglosphere governments to have pulled this one off.

Dentists are all super rich, even the low level ones make mad money.
far more than Doctors or anyone else in the medical profession, plastic surgeons are probably a close second.

How so? Dentistry is basically the single biggest overcharging industry in medicine in Canada and is by far the most wide spread affliction people suffer problems from. Almost no one has actually 100% perfect teeth, even the whitest Hollywood sheens could have little issues, that means you end up with a medical care cost that nearly 100% of the population would need/want to have done.

It's also a self feeding cycle if you don't cover it right from day 1. The longer healthcare doesn't cover it, the more and more people can't afford it themselves and the worse the average persons teeth get, add in 50 years of that cycle since the introduction of the system and it's just not possible to cover now.

It would probably cost us double our national healthcare budget to add it to the system.

>insurance

Scam, pay into it to get stuck with half the bill and premiums soar if you ever use it.

I doubt it. In the USA dental is much cheaper than anything involving doctors. Where I'm at you can get a full teeth cleaning and a full set on xrays on two different machines (9 xrays in total if I remember, 1 that provides a sort of panaramic xray of your entire mouth and also part of your sinuses and others which provide close ups of dental areas) for 75 dollars with no insurance. Generally a single meeting with a doctor, not dentist, and 1 xray is going to be 100 bucks without insurance.

All I can attest to from experience is dental. Upwards of $400 for a single tooth pulled. a full clean is $350.

My dad in an accident which knocked out almost all his top teeth (it actually broke them all along the gum line) except the back 2 molars on each side. It was $6500 to get the broken stumps removed.

Those are all covered here, just checked on the hearing aids cuz I wasn't sure about those and yup, sure enough they're covered.

You just have healthcare that sucks

They'd profiting from governamental contracts though.
Tax money is the big money.

>Be American
>Never shut up about muh free speech
>Don't grasp that your first amendment protects you from the government censoring or punishing you, not from people or private businesses

They really need to start teaching your constitution in school.

Yeah, teachers aren't a big fan of our constitutions.

Only if it's being "prescribed" by a doctor. Like if you experience a traumatic event and your doctor feels you need to see one.

If you decide for yourself "Hey lets go see a shrink I feel sad" then you pay.

Why is it I always hear these stories and yet never experience anything like this, even though my city is nearly 500,000 people and has only 3 real hospitals?

I've never waited more than 20 minutes, including the 4 times I've been in the past year over heart problems. I even got sent to a specialist for a wearable 72 hour ECG within 24 hours of the first visit to the doctor.

If my injury wasn't grievous i wouldn't be going to a&e

>If my injury wasn't grievous i wouldn't be going to a&e

Congratulations, you're not the reason Canada's ERs are backed up to fuck.

Here, people will go to the ER over 1cm long cuts and abrasions.

Yeah, same, most I waited was an hour or so and I wasn't in critical condition and the hospital was packed. Gotta wonder where people live, I suppose.

>Supposedly it should take 1-2 weeks

That's a made up story. In Finland you can ALWAYS check your lab results 2 days after having samples/blood taken online at kanta.fi using your bank details to log in.

If you go to a private hospital you can get results immediately.

We are talking about taking results out of liver tissue with unidentified growth. Making a proper accurate diagnosis of this takes 1-2 weeks due to the rarity of the situation.

We're not talking about blood samples here.

>heart problems
>why don't I have to wait
Gee, I wonder what triage is

go back to britain
yeah what's the quality of your healthcare like pedro, probably shithouse
F
I'm sorry to hear that

I had a similar situation but happened with my local """subsidized""" clinic. i was kinda shocked i had to pay for those expensive gauze, sanitary gloves and whatever sterile solution they used which amounts to over 150 usd just for a mere fall off a bicycle.

does that mean spectacles included? Almost everything related it is subsidized for us but visit to the optician is not.

>yeah what's the quality of your healthcare like pedro, probably shithouse
>auslard projecting

must be hard being a libertarian in the outback

>telling the truth is projecting

the state of 2017

people wouldn't be leaving your cunts en masse if you were provided wonderful services

only the eye tests are free, the spectacles can be eligible for discounts if you have a private health insurer which most people seem to have anyway

>Taking life advice from r9k.
What else did you expect?

>They really need to start teaching your constitution in school
What's the point? Amerifats are immune to learning
