I love Diamonds are Forever, fuck you. Not a great moment for Connery though I'll give you that.

I thought it was weaker than his other five films. I didn't even rank the films from best to worst, instead just focused on what each actor did. My personal favorite isn't even listed

Good taste to be honest pham.

That is fair. My bad.

might as well bump it.
Expectations for the 25th Bond? If Craig comes back, Seadoux is going to get killed by Blowfeld similar to the end of On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Craig's Bond is meant to suffer

The aesthetic of 60's Europe/Britain is so damn nice. Really the 60's without the hippie shit is such a great era. They should make a Bond period movie that takes place in it if they ever decide for a reboot.

Yeah, Quentin Tarantino wanted to make a Black and White Casino Royale with Daniel Craig set in the 1950's. Which probably would've been interesting, I do like the 06 Royale a lot though.

I love the Connery films for that aesthetic reason as well. My personal favorite is On Her Majesty's Secret Service, which has a neat old europe setting to it.

Reminder that James Bond isn't a real spy and none of the movies are spy films.

Thank you and good day.

>reminder that movies aren't reality

thanks for the bump

LIAR

One Last bump.

The Moore films are probably the comfiest/easiest to watch. All of them have a nice zany tone, can be a bit of an acquired taste though. Goldeneye and Craig Bond are probably the most normie friendly Bonds

I hope someone else directs it, and makes something very different to the last 4 movies.

I really wish that Dalton would have gotten another film. He was seriously underrated as Bond.

yeah, I'm ready for something a little bit bigger instead of

>financial scheming(Le Chiffre)
>raising water prices in the second world(Green)
>Computer hacking/trying to kill M(Silva)
>Computer hacking/trying to kill Bond(Blowfeld)

Give me someone with a bigger plan. I like the Craig films, but I wouldn't mind some villain trying to re-order modernity, like a Hugo Drax or Karl Stromberg

Dalton got the shit end of the stick on scripts, underrated as fuck but the WORST movies.

I wish they would fucking decide on a style, it's not the hardcore gritty shit from Casino Royale now it's some cartoonish mix of the old style and new.

Spectre was alright, I liked certain things about it, but the massive amount of references they shoe-horned in did detract from the movie. Craig Bond hasn't reached Die Another Day-tier yet though(the only Bond film I don't like, even Moore's worst have a whimsical charm).

Dalton was under-rated. Could've ended up the definitive Bond if he had the right scripts + director.

One thing I think is fun is dissecting the motives behind each iteration if Bond
>Connery
Wants to save the world

>Lazenby
Patriotic

>Moore
Bored thrill-seeker

>Dalton
Someone told him to

>Brosnan
Likes how it looks to be the hero

>Craig
Deep-seated personal reasons

reverse Connery and Moore and that's close to what I think.
Connery's Bond was interesting, because he always seemed to enjoy everything in a detached manner, because he was so close to death.
Lazenby was the only Bond before Craig that seemed vulnerable to me. His romance is also the most believable besides Vesper.
I forgot who described Moore, but someone once commented that he always "looked like he read ahead in the script" and never took his situations seriously.

That's a good way to describe moore. To me he just sort of floats from one situation to the next with a playboy type boredom like nothing can satisfy him, so he keeps getting into dangerous situations and fucking every girl he can in an attempt to get some thrill out of his life.

But I think it's a lot of it is just the way the Moore films where directed. They weren't meant to be taken as seriously as the first six Bond films. They also give Moore more patriotic/camp lines, like "England needs me too" at the beginning of The Spy Who Loved Me.

I expected for worst Craig's will be SPECTRE, but once in live time OP is patrician.
Also because of You only live twice.
Kinothread, well done.

>Best Brosnan Theme

Bond should make Russians the enemies in their movies again.

With the "current year" trends everything is possible, including making russians relevant again.

Russia was never the enemy till Goldeneye, before that it was always a third party trying to bring russia and america into conflict, and England had to come in and save they day

it wasn't really "russia" in goldeneye either, soviet holdovers trying to coup with superweapon after fall. Were there ever any serious state level actors?

Quantum is Bond Kino. The opera scene was fantastic
It's definitely better than Spectre

no, but Bond shot up russian cops in Goldeneye, something that never happened with the USSR

>Kara Milovy over Pam Bouvier
QUESTIONABLE.
also the Goldeneye them is pure Bond, Die Another Day was a garbage track
