It'd be one thing if they tried again after this GITS window closes with Ninja Scroll. It's fast, short, sweet and easy to adapt through a lens. The marketing would have to attach itself to that modality. I remember going to malls in New Jersey and seeing Akira playing casually on the tv sets with folks standing around like it was the second coming of Jesus Christ.
