Pretty much all the conservatives dissing trump are lauding his pick of Pence, which is a bad sign to me. I think the point is to show republicans that he's not a total curveball and get their support/potentially SuperPAC money to not get crushed by Hillary, but I think that a lot of Pence's beliefs/positions piss off moderates and strong Trump supporters alike.
I'll still vote for Trump, but I'm worried about the impact it will have on moderates.

The last time I saw Hillary make "peace" with anyone was the subjugation of Bernie, who looked dead inside while "endorsing" her. Beyond that I honestly can't recall anything, because she never takes responsibility for her actions.

He has been vocally against Trump for quite some time and directly opposes some of Trumps core policies that make him an attractive candidate in the first place.
Granted I will still vote for him, but Pence is a damn antithesis for Trump. He's an enemy and it's strange that Trump would pick him over any other given "real republican" to lock in the RNC's cooperation (lets be honest, that's all this is).
Also worthy of note is that the vice can break ties when it comes to legeslation. This is CRITICAL for someone like Trump who will sit on a divided house as the dems try to block any and everything. Trump needs someone on his side.
Vices also negotiate things sometimes, and someone who loves shitty deals and the TPP like Pence is dangerous because of this.
The most important thing however is that Pence takes over should something happen to Trump. Lets be honest with ourselves here; that's pretty fucking likely. It's only a matter of time before some BLM or regressive liberal actually DOES something. They have shown their capacity for violence against him and his followers already.
A globalist establishment candidate like Pence will NOT follow in his predecessors footsteps. This man cannot be molded. He cannot be swayed. He is an enemy of Trump and opposes his campaigns key elements.
I just want to know why Trump picked him when he could have "bought" the GOP with any other easily tamable non-contradictory generic conservative.
It's alarming and what I would argue is the worst move he has made on the campaign trail yet.
