If you want an urban environment, there are a lot of cool cities with different styles depending on what you're looking for
If you're more interested in topography, the southwestern areas over by Arizona and Utah are what you want
There's some really tight stuff in the national parks
In any case, if you're not already looking at specific monuments or destinations to see, I would focus on either big cities or national parks as your key tourist destinations
Checking out scenic drives is another cool option if that's your deal

I live in Atlanta and I can tell you with a reasonable degree of confidence that there is not much happening in the southeast
It's a very pretty area and it's great to live in but it's just not wildly exciting to visit
There are a few cool things happening and if you haven't been to Disney World or Universal in Orlando and you have a lot of money to throw away those are pretty neat
Kind of depends on the time scale you're operating on
If it's a quick trip, there are generally better places to visit
Mostly the northeastern regions or the wilderness in the southwest or central north
If you're planning on taking a lengthy trip or passing through anyway, I can point you in the direction of some cool stuff around
