Why is there so much irrelevant, player-centric drama in this “league?” More like a fucking soap opera

Have you watched the NFL these last five years or so? Its just as bad

because it's the millennial league.

It’s nowhere near as bad in the NFL outside of Xeattle

Black men are raised by single moms who adapt their behavior.

Honestly there may be some truth to this, despite the fact that they act like tough guys they feud like women

The product itself is garbage so if you can't sell the product, then you've got to get attention by any means necessary. Therefore the NBA sells drama.
black women act like they're tough shit and feud all the time too senpai

I don't follow the NBA too closely but the first time I realized how gay the player drama is was the whole Shaq - Javale Mcgee thing. People were talking about it like it was actual news and not 2 faggots measuring dicks

if you just want players to be anonymous cogs in a machine instead of having personality, watch a different league

college basketball, maybe

NBA is the GOAT league and basketball is the GOAT sport. Any hatred is just anger stemming from the fact that basketball is overtaking the world.

It's fanbase is retarded. Easiest way to get a no-(You) post is talk about strategy or ask someone to translate their emotion-driven opinion into a factual statement on an nba thread

It really is, the NFL is just narratives and cock sucking.

But the narratives are mostly not based on the players as human beings. It's a lot easier to ignore that the players are people in the NFL.

That's more a chan problem than any NBA problem.

>Working class people
>Everyone speaks same language
>Oversize people with egos

English football was like this before they started importing everyone. Drama exists where there are oversized working class personalities.

unfortunately, in the US, people get too worked up about the racial divide to recognize this or think about it in class terms

Because star players have a massive impact on the product so people are much more invested in them. The same shit happens with football and good QBs

you can blame the nba for that. as the nba has gotten more and more popular, some nfl players felt left out and wanted a spotlight too.

so they acted out more.

the nfl is nowhere near as bad as the NBA. all NBA fans and message boards discuss is what players said about other players and which players are "beefing"

the thing that sucks is that the league is god awful with rigged refereeing and no parity and a meaningless regular season yet its popularity just keeps rising

Think of the audience.

Simpletons. The NBA has never been an intelligent league, what with the ridiculous scoring system and the focus on thuggish behavior as entertainment. It's man drama. It's Real Housewives of Cleveland.

It is reality TV with a ball. Now think of the people who like reality TV. There you go. One in the same. It isn't a technical sport, so it won't attract people who think at that level.

NBA has all these fucking shit tier sports absolutely SEETHING

what makes the nba better than other sports

...

Absolutely btfoed

*kneels in your path

Blame american media coverage for giving them so much attention. I mean, we constantly hear about the feud inside PSG team, but we don't have shit like 10 different TV shows discussing at least 2 times a day the brawl between Kevin Love and Isaiah Thomas.

Inferior sports shook af
Based NBA

Basketball is a star's game, any casual can immediately turn on a game and see how important the best players are.

I'd say a guy like porzingis, who I think is overrated and in any event plays on a shitty team, "feels like a star" more than anyone in team sports besides maybe three soccer players and maybe three quarterbacks. That's just the dynamic of the sport, good and bad

>So THIS is the power of the NBA fan’s intellect....

It's always been there. Media covers it because you watch it.

Probably estrogen.
