Bernie Sanders

1. Your country.

2. Do you think Bernie "Breadlines are good" would have won against Trump?

3. Why?

would have had a better chance

But he has literally praised Fidel Castro and Communism.

yes.

the main thing trump had going for him was his anti-elitism and appeals to the working class. sanders shared both of those with him. his open opposition to identity politics would have given him an even bigger edge against trump. in fact, hillary shills even saw him as a dangerous populist.

I'm not sure he would have garnered more votes than Crooked Hillary but there's a possibility he could have done a better job of getting out the vote in the youth and urban poor.
In general terms I don't fancy the chances of explicitly left wing candidates in Yankistan

1. USA
2. No.
3. Bernie would have been hammered by anti-socialist rhetoric from Trump and Republicans (which he deserves), which would have alienated large blocks of the electorate that might have otherwise been inclined to vote for him. Probably too hard to praise the Sandinistas and Castro and then win the election.

This.

2. Yes

3. Because it is clear that a huge part of America wants a shift towards the left but the elite won't allow it. He was the actual anti-establishment option.

Yeah, everyone who thought Bernie was delusional. Clinton barely attacked him because she didn't want to alienate his supporters, and Republicans didn't attack him because they wanted him to undermine Clinton. The general election would have been brutal.

no chance in hell
>3. Why?
socialist

>a huge part of America wants a shift towards the left
?????

1. you know what's up

2. He's gonna take 2020. The burlington VT revolution is starting. We have maple syrup molotov's ready and we're prepared to purge the capitalist pigs and kulaks from our lands, and eventually push the revolutionary bernie army to washington where the guillotining on capital hill will occur.

3. Because trump is god awful. His supporters only like him because he has them controlled by a little string, and yanks them all into cultural wars against the rest of america.

I'm running for president

I would prefer bernie over hillary even though I'm not a progressive because Bernie is at least non-interventionist (betraying his own kind takes guts)

The guy may be a socialist but at least it seems like he has a pulse and maybe a little humanity and interest in helping america. Can't say the same for trump and hillary. My only concern is how he would do foreign policy. Also there would be a huge gridlock in washington.

>non-interventionist
>voted for war in iraq
>pro-israel
user..

He forgot to prep the bull.

it's like we're all still stuck in 2016.

yes I think it's pretty obvious he would have won. Trumps approval rating was historically low on arrival, it's clear that a chunky portion of his voters didn't like their options and just conceded to voting for the loose canon

Yes
For the sole reason that he wasn't Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump

1.USA
2. Absolutely (coming from someone who voted trump)
3. Massive youth support. That's what buried hillary.

the more i think on it
the more i realize bernificent sanderfax
would have been obliterated by trump
because in america the americans believe
it is better for 1000 to suffer equivalently so long as it prevents 1 person undeserving of equivalent contentedness from having it
and trump clearly represented the winner take all rhetoric
that presumes the 1000 suffering thus deserve it so long as the 1 contented person lordly sits

english please

Trump also supported the war in Iraq in 2006 and is even more pro-Israel than Bernie.
And yet people were saying world peace had been preserved with his election because Hillary of course would have done the WW3

I didn't talk about trump you sperg, the only non-interventionists in the election were O'Malley (democrat) and Rand Paul.

Probably. Voters are retarded and wouldn't necessarily care that he's a communist (look at Jeremy Corbyn) and journalists like him while they hate Hillary

I used to, but I realized that Bernie kept misrepresenting Norway as a communist utopia.

I don't know whether America would like Norway's policies or not, but they're not what Bernie makes them out to be.

lol no. bernie only appealed to kids who couldn't vote.
>JUST TAX THE RICH EVERYTHING WILL FIX ITSELF
yeah ok bernie.
>SOCIALISM WORKS IN SCANDINAVIA WHICH IS A HOMOGENEOUS REGION
calm down bernie
>MUH 1%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

No. Both were anti-establishment candidates, but Americans lean toward anger and hate. Trump would have won.

>look at Jeremy Corbyn

He is never going to rule the UK. A military coup is more likely.

Sounds like a commie. Nothing ever good comes from commies.

Elections ended long ago. Get over it already. Or someone would make a thread - Lewinski for prez
