Not huge into anime but since I loved that movie I'll share a few more I really liked

>Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
>Berserk
Especially the 90s tv show but I personally enjoyed the movies
>Ghost in the Shell
>Akira

Basilisk.

It's a series tough but it's short.

There is only this, Akira and GitS. All else is garbage.

MAAAAH

You obviously grew up in the golden era in anime. Good rec's

Love this shit, just rewatched it earlier this week. Pure anime kino.

Another Sup Forumseddit thread that should be on /wsr/
how much data will swaglord get from this thread?

Sup Forums is trash though

Twas fun watching that rape scene with my dad.

Seemed like a good Blockbuster night....

Isn't there an anime board? Take that shit back to your containment board you fucking weeb

>He doesn't watch rape scenes with his dad.

I was only ashamed because it was anime.

so Sup Forums when it was at its best and full of actual patricians and not /r/movie drones??

The anime series is pretty good too

Highlander: Search for Vengeance

Great anime by the same artist. As a bonus its the best Highlander movie too.

JOOO BAYYYYYYY

Loved that shit. Anything with metal gear solid style motherfuckers with their own neat gimmick is fun. G Gundam was kinda like that from what i remember

Escaflowne. The movie. Avoid the series it's shit.

Watamote

>BURN IN YOUR GOLDEN HELL (((GEMMA)))

How did the subtitlers get away with this?

If you want more anime in a feudal setting then Princess Mononoke, if you want more anime by the studio that did Ninja Scroll then try Cyber City Oedo 808

youtube.com/watch?v=dwBXPsetOHM

Sword of the Stranger.

>excerrent prot!

If you want more '80s/'90s horror/cyberpunk violent shlock anime.

I saw a few episodes of this in tech tv when I was younger but never knew what it was called. Thank you user.

>Demon City
Randomly watched it on youtube late one night, really enjoyed it.

Got the three of them in the same box set.

Claymore

If you like hyper-edgy 90s anime a good slightly out of the way one is Genocyber. Production values aren't the greatest but it's a hell of an interesting story.

shigurui death frenzy

sword of the stranger

Genocyber if you like body horror

>Basilisk
is this a movie or series?

anybody else nutted to the rape scene? man that was good times.

Backing these choice
>Wicked City
>Cyber City Oedo 808
and adding
>Angel Cop

Series I said it on my post.

youtube.com/watch?v=sxrTbj_1Mg0

Robot carnival, this it's part of an anthology movie.

Yes, Angel Cop. Good addition.

he literally said it's a series

Thanks

i didn't think it looked especially cheap or anything honestly.
the couple shots that mixed in stop-motion really impressed me too

My dad walked in during the snake vagoo and made me restart it so he could watch the whole thing.

The animation isn't technically strong but it's very stylish and a couple of creative tricks go a long way. The short CG sequences used to represent fucked up mindscapes in the first part are really neat and reminded me of Death Powder. It's in a neat in-between spot where it's got the avant-garde weirdness and brutalism of traditional Japanese cyberpunk but also the sci-fi action story angle right out of Akira.

Don't know.I got it dubbed on VHS and if i remberar correctly the line was:
"Gemma!Burn in your golden hell!"

>You wouldn't recognize a goddamn vampire if one jumped up and bit you on the end of your fucking dick.
I miss Manga UK dubs.
