Most are medieval wack-jobs who are directly opposed to modern, Western values, but are still defended by the far-left ideologues, despite the fact that they're the antithesis to most of their "progressive" beliefs.
They maintain this position by pointing towards the pathetically minute set of Westernised muslims that exist, regardless of the majority globally still holding orthodox views.

all religions are equally incorrect, the abrahamic religions have similar & awful tenants that are followed more closely by zealots (muslims) while others have less devout/tonally consistent followers (jews & christians) who pick & choose which parts to retcon from their supposedly infallible & immutable doctrines
tldr, all religions are the big stinky, just in different ways. the less overtly harmful ones are just limp wristed & hypocritical half-believers

yes, that's why i started by saying all religions are equally incorrect, as in, none of them are true. i'd love to see one that doesn't disprove itself by contradicting natural science or otherwise empirically provable occurrences. i was moreso pointing out that the three abrahamic religions would all be virtually as harmful as one another (& in the same ways) if they followed their respected doctrines as closely as muslims (internationally) do. judaism & christianity just alter theirs & choose to leave out parts that they don't like, which seems hypocritical considering how immutable they profess their holy texts to be.
