What can I do about being unable to gain muscle mass? I've tried everything recommended on /fit/ for best practice weightlifting

Is it my genetics or can I fix it

just stay determined, i use to be skinny too, i kept doing gym, 4 years later i went from 80kg to 94kg and im solid as fuck, the hard part is keeping the motivation, my routine is just the 5x5 strong man.. oh yeh and im 6'1

Eat more, lift more. Get enough sleep. Track your calories and macros, most skinny guys who "can't gain muscle mass" don't realize they're eating like little girls.

My brother is an amateur body builder in his spare time. He eats about 6 egg whites a day, 2 chicken breasts for lunch with 1 cup of vegetables and a half cup of rice, 2 protein shakes a day, and dinner is some other protein and veggie combo.

He works out twice a day, once on his lunch break at work and again after work.

Just do some real Sports like Wrestling etc.

I used to eat more for this purpose but I just got chubby over 6 months. I don't do that any more

When bulking go for. 5-10% surplus, no higher otherwise you get fat

The single only reason is that you still eat too little. Buy a gainer and get better eating routines. Are you even gaining any weight?

You gotta get fat first. Get on 5000+ calorie diet. Once you gain like 30-40 lbs start lifting.

Have you tried creatine? You can get it everywhere, it's piss cheap and works wonders with building muscle. Also, lift heavy. 5-8 reps is the best for building muscle

Try hormonal boosters like tribulus terrestris, etc.
Although many people say it really doesn't make a difference (nor there is a study that actually proves it does anything.)
Just go to your doctor and get your blood tested.
If you have low T he'll get you on a hormonal replacement therapy.

It doesn't build muscle, it just gets you bloated as fuck and makes the muscles retain more water.

Yeah I don't want to be on artificial T which will probably make my balls shrivel and kill any hope of natural T production, making me some weird artifical creature not much better than a tranny.

Hormonal replacement therapy just gets your body producing normal T levels, since it doesn't alone.

It's not the same as injecting cycles of T in your ass endlessly 'till the body cannot produce T naturally and you'll have to take a replacement for life.

Once you have muscle (and lose it) it is really easy to get it back. So you can never trust before and after photos. All this guy did is eat salt and sugar for a week to hide his abs then lost that fat and went back to his normal strict diet and lifting. You can do this with nothing but food and body weight exercises.
