Reinstall what? It was loaded onto the SSD when I purchased it. I hate digital licenses so much

Windows licenses are motherboard based, when you buy one, it only works for the pc THAT motherboard is in. you have to buy a new license, theyre only 15 bucks anyway.

If you didn't register it with a Microsoft account, then you might be out of luck. If you did, then you can log into said account and reactivate your license with a notation that hardware had changed.

Only partially correct. The sum of hardware IDs is what is logged with the activation. You can change the motherboard and have it activated as indicated in my previous post about using the Microsoft account to register it.

Where are you getting valid licenses for $15?

Download win10 clean install from tpb then patch it with KMspico, also found on tpb.
Install win7 instead, it's still officially supported till next year
Install linux
Install winxp and winamp, smoke some weed and time travel back ~20 years

you get them cheap from ebay

i payed for mine 5$ on ebay last year. still works.

Read and enjoy.

check your pc box to see if the product number sticker is anywhere on there. Maybe you should have checked the OS activation record before you started fiddling

Use the command “slmgr /ipk yourlicensekey” to install a license key (yourlicensekey is the activation key that corresponds to your Windows edition). The following is the list of Windows 10 Volume license keys.
