How long does it take you to watch a 90 minute flick?

takes me half a day unironically desu

>bathroom break
>refill snack break
>Sup Forums posting break
>listen to music break
> rewind parts break
>look up the synopsis summary on wiki to make sure im following the movie

90 mins

>>look up the synopsis summary on wiki to make sure im following the movie
fuck, this is me

only i cant stop myself and read to the end

>>Not plannin an entire weekend around one film

60 minutes

All jokes and meming aside, if it's by myself and while I'm eating. It takes me at least 2 hours.

>> rewind parts break
>>look up the synopsis summary on wiki to make sure im following the movie

>watch
>pause
>chew
>unpause
>watch

I just do all those things while the movie is playing. You can still follow the film as long as you aren't a retard.

about 3-4 hours

about 3 days, I watch movies in 30 minute segments then stop for the night.

i have ocd about seeing every shot or else i didnt really watch it

i usually marathon 2-3 minutes at a time so it might even take me a week
>fap break
>sleep break
>shitposting break
>check out how many (you)s i've got from my shitposts break
>fap break

i also tend to play at 66% speed or else the movie will go too fast for my brain

>i also tend to play at 66% speed or else the movie will go too fast for my brain
kek

Depends how into it I am. There's some flicks that I've been working on for months cause I'm not interested in it enough to just sit down and finish but I don't hate enough to drop.

90 minutes, but I like to multitask.
I'll let the film run while i use the bathroom, do the dishes, play with my action figures, whatever

Literally this.

>play with my action figures
was it autism?

>play with my action figures

...

120 minutes
But 90 minutes at x1.5 speed

A couple of years depending on how good it is.
Scheduled to finish Interstellar by November.

60 Minutes. I watch my movies in 1.5x speed.

93-95 minutes probably

I might pause once to make a gin and tonic and one other time to use the bathroom

Watching movies over a long span of time is disgusting

90 minutes, but I watch another movie on the other half of the screen.

>pause to read the wiki synopsis, see the imdb trivia, skim the tvtropes page and look up all the actresses feet

about 2 hours
>watch film
>be on laptop or smartphone
>rewind since i can't follow the plot
>read the wikipedia page to make sure i follow everything
>sometimes read to far ahead and spoil myself
>repeat until movie is done
>read the wikipedia sumarry in full

I like to pause the film and pose my figures as the onscreen characters, then see have them act out how I think the scene will play out. Then I let the film run and see how close I was. I thought lots of people do this.

>download movie without subs
>half the characters speak in hard to understand accents
>cant make out a large portion of the dialogue
I'm a fucking native english speaker but I just can't follow the way some people talk

> rewind parts break
>look up the synopsis summary on wiki to make sure im following the movie
I thought I was the only one

I just set up my computer desk in my kitchen so I can continue watching while I get snacks, drinks or even do some cooking

i have numerous movies playing, my screens look like cctv monitors

usually 20 - 30 mins longer, sometimes i have to rewind since i'm too busy playing vidya and watching movie at the same time
but i also read wikipedia summary at the end to make sure i got everything

I'm preparing to watch Locke.
Estimating around 6 hours.

>he doesnt watch his flix on x160 speed with his eyes inches from the moniter for maximum intake

Same.
When I see a particularly interesting scene, I just say "enhance" and focus on the one film for a moment

>not watching 8 kinos on 8 moniters at 888x speed

>When I see a particularly interesting scene, I just say "enhance"
I do this but when watching a single movie only. Then I rewind zoom in on the characters face and set it to 50% speed to really take in the emotion.

Also I skip all action scenes with no dialogue so it evens out to 90 minutes.

>not directly plugging the VGA cable into your nurel socket and then streaming the entire IMDB film library at once at x2 million speed to absorb 150 years of film in less then a minute

>only watched part one movie in my entire life
I don't remember the name of the movie because I haven't got to the opening credits yet.

90 minutes unless it's something really boring like Persona, then I need to take breaks to build up patience to finish the movie.

Only about an hour because I play the movie at 1.5x the speed

>not wiring a kino socket directly into your nerve endings to directly experience every kino ever painted in the billionth of an instant played before your eyes like the stunning creation of a new galaxy while absorbing the latent kinomastery imparted by the ancient creators

>not partaking of the ancient journey of the Kino monks and acending the highest mountain peak while chanting the TDKR littany to keep the fires risin so you dont freeze
>not reaching the sacred summit on the 7th hour of the 7th day before puttinh your left foot in and your right foot out and doing the hookie lokie and shaking it all about to awaken the all powerful kino monks to bid you entrance into thier secret monistery while you will spend the next 60 years in deep meditation one why he would shoot a man before throwing him out of a plane
>not acending to the next plane upon coming to the conclusion that kino should not merely be watched but created and then not seen

I've never finished a single movie, I watch movies frame by frame judging each one individually if the quality of the frames starts to dip too low I will stop analyzing the film and start watching something new, I judge each film by how far in I make it.

>he hasn't seen Satantango frame by frame

I bet you take brakes while watching too, pleb.

GET THE FUCK OFF THIS BOARD YOU FUCKING PLEB NORMIES

GO BACK TO WATCHING YOUTUBERS

GOD FUCKIGN DAMNIT THIS BOARD USED TO BE GOOD AND ALL OF YOU FUCKING MOUTHBREATHING BANEPOSTING FUCKING IMBEICLES HAVE FUCKING RUINED EVERYTHING I ENJOYED HERE

THIS TYPE OF SHITPOSTING BELONGS ON FAGGOT ASS NORMIE BOARDS LIKE Sup Forums OR Sup Forums

GET OFF MY FUCKING HOME BOARD GOD FUCKING DAMAAAAMNTITTT

I take a thesis brake every couple of frames

>he doesnt create an masterful oil painting of every frame of the entire movie

Satantango seriously took me a month to get through. I would watch roughly 15 minutes every day.

Depends who's turn it is. Me n my gf take it in turn watching the other person watch a film so we get to watch it in 4th person.

patrician

>look up the synopsis summary on wiki to make sure im following the movie
holy fucking kek, this. I always fall asleep and need to make sure I know what's happening.

>i also tend to play at 66% speed or else the movie will go too fast for my brain

>I like to pause the film and pose my figures as the onscreen characters, then see have them act out how I think the scene will play out. Then I let the film run and see how close I was. I thought lots of people do this.

this is the best thread I've seen in 4 years.

Watch about half one day and eventually watch the rest a few weeks later

Anyone else bust out for a cheeky Nando's mid movie?

someone actually wrote all this lmao

It depends on the amount of scenes. Whenever I finish a scene, I start it again in a different language. However, I save English for last. So with every language I don't understand, I try to understand what is actually happening. When I finally get to watch a scene in English, I grade myself on how accurate I was. Unless I get at least 95% accuracy, I don't allow myself to move onto the next scene and I fail the movie. I don't let myself carry on watching, ever again. However I still act as if I've seen the movie online.

About 90 minutes.

Sounds like a big movie

what do you do when you blink? do you rewind 0.002 seconds of the movie everytime?

>0.002 seconds

more like 0.1-0.4 fucking retard

>tfw when massive farts propel your shit out really fast

best shit feel

No you idiot
Theres a threshold to what would be considered wasted moments
To me a 1 second miss is okay

around 60 mins. I watch at 2x speed but I have to pause and read the synopsis as well.

I watch at 2x speed because I'm training my brain to process things faster. I can almost complete other peoples sentences because of this.

kek you actually googled it you fucking autist

pleb

Did you come up with this idea or do people do this

I came up with it. Its like lifting weights only for your brain.

>refill snack break
And you wonder why you're such a lardass.

How do you guys even watch the movies?

I've bought like 5 of them but I can't figure out how to get them out of the cases.

I've just been reading the boxes while I'm on the shitter

90 minutes but I also save 90 minutes if there is a sequel. I play the sequel on another screen exactly one minute behind so I end up watching both in one sitting.

>And you wonder why you're such a lardass.
im 155 you piece of shit, lost 15 lbs recently

>tfw can't understand or remember films when it's in foreign language + subtitles

Hope I'm not the only one

You probably aren't, but the people keeping you company in that group are mostly genuine retards
Not being able to follow a narrative is one step above not being able to read at all

I don't mind foreign language films but I have trouble following them because I like watching the pictures over following the narrative.

>not learning the language of a foreign film before you watch it
jesus christ i share the same board as these people

>can't approximately divide 1 by 24

To watch a 90 minute movie takes me about an hour.

>check out how many (you)s i've got from my shitposts break

>not getting (you) notifications

so primitive

bum[

I have watched so much porn that I often will watch 4-5 movies at the same time, then i will skip forward and back to find the best scenes and play them all at the same time

180 minutes, for every minute i watch i need to take an equivalent break browsing the internet.

>I like to pause the film and pose my figures as the onscreen characters, then see have them act out how I think the scene will play out. Then I let the film run and see how close I was. I thought lots of people do this.
That's a very interesting idea

I just watched the Void.

I think for me I go on Sup Forums shitpost why the movie sucks while i'm still at the 10 minute mark playing it on my VLC player.

Same as all movies.

>vlc

is this bait?

I really like you, user. I wish you happiness.

60 minutes because i watch everything at 1.5X speed

>He doesn't watch films on fast forward with the subtitles on.

Usually six hours because I take breaks to masturbate and eat

About 70 minutes if it's a dialogue heavy movie because I play them at high speed to save time.

FINE DAY SUNDAY

>trips
>this post

this is a perfect representation of Sup Forums now. the trips just cement it in.

>DAMAAAAMNTITTT

>damamntitt

Okay

That's how you watch movies

Moving images are a meme, don't get rused

>look up all actresses in film on wikifeet
>open each one's page in a separate tab
>rub grease on dick and get to work
>when close to cumming, start film and edge for as long as possible
>usually blow on the first foot shot/sighting
>stop movie and start all over again later after refractory period

this is how you get maximum mileage from your movies. also gives plenty of time to contemplate what I've seen in the clear-headed state, so my film analysis abilities have grown massively

What's wrong with VLC, it plays nearly every movie file.

Hell, when I was screening my spherical camera footage. It was the only video player capable of playing both spherical lenses separately and simultaneously before I got the actual software to stitch the files together.

around 7 hours, I usually download the subtitles and read them standalone before actually watching the film

I have mommy read the script to me over a few nights at bed-time so I don't get lost when I watch it.

>not running them through Google translate and reading them in french
